Video instruction from a pike fishing legend

I’ll probably cop flack for saying this, but it’s a wonder that anyone buys fishing DVDs these days. There are so many great productions on YouTube that can be viewed totally free of charge.

And I’m not talking about the illegal stuff that breaches copyright. No, we don’t support that at all; it costs money to make a proper production and the people who have invested their time, effort and money in making DVDs deserve some payback if the content is worth watching.

However, there are companies out there that produce quality videos and make them available on the internet free of charge. Obviously, they hope that you’ll feel like buying their products, but they don’t force you to part with your money. We’ve featured some short clips from Boat Fishing Monthly magazine in the past, for example, who regularly show how to make great sea fishing rigs and baits.

The clip below is a prime example of what I’m talking about. We found it on the Shimano UK YouTube channel and it features the legend, Mick Brown, taking you through his legered deadbait set-up.

Well filmed, interesting and, without doubt, from an angler who really knows what he’s talking about. If you’re into pike fishing, switch everything else off for 20-minutes or so and click the ‘PLAY’ symbol below.
