We reported on here a few days ago that Bennetts Of Sheffield had closed. You can see the original piece here, which was backed up by their very own telephone answering machine message.
Well, according to the Bennetts Of Sheffield website, they are also having a pre-Christmas sale with 25% off all marked prices!
The dates given are Saturday 6th November and Saturday 13th November, 2010, with cash and plastic payments being the only methods of payment accepted. Opening hours are stated as 10am-4pm.
I’m no expert on consumer law, but I do seem to recall somewhere that many credit cards offer extra insurance against faulty goods. Check with your own card issuer, but if this is so, then it may well be a good time to grab yourselves a bargain. I’m not saying the goods will be faulty, just that if something was to happen to your new tackle and the store happened to be closed down, you may well still be covered!
Online ordering is not available, so it’s for visitors to the store only, which makes sense with all that’s going on. If you are about the Sheffield area, it would well be worth paying Bennetts a visit!
One last thing; the Bennetts Of Sheffield website does state that the online ordering is temporarily not available. Does the use of the word ‘temporarily’ mean that there’s possibly a rescue plan in place? Let’s hope so…
