People on the internet always seem to want to know “what’ the best”, “what’s the biggest”, etc. It’s a sign of the times that we’re used to getting instant answers now, rather than having to go through all the rigmarole of ‘trial and error’ to find out for ourselves.

To be honest, there are pros and cons of this, but the fact of the matter is that that’s how life is these days.

So, I’ll tell you now, the best pike fishing lure in the world is the Rublex Ondex.

PROBABLY.

Okay, it’s not a scientific conclusion and I’m not the world’s greatest angler, but I did go through a couple of years of intense lure fishing a while back for pike and the Ondex spinner NEVER let me down.

In fact, it was so deadly that I used to make myself NOT use it until I was certain everything else would blank, then I’d whack it on and catch one in no time.

Rublex OndexHonestly, if I had to bet my life on a lure catching a pike, it would be the Rublex Ondex. The one pictured here is my own and it’s a diddy one. It’s also the very one I caught my first 20lb pike on, which is why I keep it in a case!

I had a look for Rublex Ondex lures on eBay today and was pleased to see quite a few. There were a few different colour variations, and I’m sure they’re all good, but get yourself a few silver ones in various sizes and you won’t go wrong.

Perch love them, too.

No need to thank me. Just send us photos of all the pike you catch on them…
