You often hear stories of pike taking birds, but have you ever seen it?
Like many, I’ve heard a splash and seen a gap where I thought a duckling was, but never the ACTUAL take.
I’ve even seen a pike fly out and try to take a reed warbler in mid air….it missed spectacularly!
In this clip, not only do you see the pike taking the bird, but also swimming off with it. No commotion; it looks like it’s done this plenty of times before.
