River Kennet - Nr Thatcham

1845 - 2300

Clear night, AT 11ºC. River VERY low and clear.

2 Barbel; 4lb 6oz, 3lb 13oz.

A new swim - one with a bit of depth AND flow. No crayfish activity - always a good sign. Both fish on ledgered pellet, after 2100.

Hi Chris

I notice you fish alot around the Newbury Thatcham area and just wondered if you could point me in the right direction as to where you catch your Barbel from i dont want to know the exact peg but i dont really know where to start. I know that brimpton used to be quite good but not sure any more.

Any help would be appreciated

Everywhere is a bit of a struggle at the moment and will continue to be so until we get some rain. Brimpton is a good a place as any to start if you've got a NAA book.
