Defeated by a snow shower! Would have been OK at the river, but my house is at the bottom of a hill etc etc. But I am still going to bore you with my blog FOR ONE REASON. I am one of 3 weekly blogs on this site, and they all come from Newbury and surrounding area! Well - need I say more? This is my main evidence that Newbury is the ANGLING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. Let's face it, the score says it all: NEWBURY 3, Rest of the World NIL! Hah! That's what I think of all the other places. Hah! It's true that Rusty and I are relying on Chris P at the moment to catch most of the fish, but that of course is temporary.

So what would I have caught? Hadn't quite decided. It was either going to be a mega-haul of chub from a well known chevin haunt, or a pb grayling from the Lambourn. Or maybe, as locals have sometimes said to me, 'The only thing you'll catch in there mate is a cold!' Will have to wait till after Christmas now!
