  1. Cant find what channel it's on, discovery I persume.
  2. the bloke on accedental angler (sunday, bbc) is going to the amazon for peacock bass this week.
  3. I'm filling my f/s with braid (30lb) I want about 100 yds on, how do I know how much mono backing to put on and what b/s is best. also which knot should I use to put on the backing and shockleader, there were pictures with it but not very clear. cheers

  6. this is how I do it for shore fishing Thread on a bead followed by a sliding float, bead, then thread on small drilled bullets or use split shot. (experiment to find the right amount of weight, you are aiming to stand the float up without sinking it.) then tie on a swivel. Tie on your trace (I use about 2ft of 10Lb mono for small fish) then your hook. tie on a stop knot above the float and adjust for depth. and there you have it, you can probaly find a diagram on the internet
  7. Cheers just one thing, I've heard of a cork rig but dont know how to make one, do you just tie a length of mono to a cork and the hook, thanks for the help and the warnings!
  8. Im fishing Ilfracombe pier for the first time in the week. What species can I be expecting and what are the best tactics to target them. Is the area snaggy and are rottom bottoms nesacery. cheers p.s I've also heard you need a key to gain acces is this right?
