  1. just been surfing a joke site and stumbled across this.......... "I just saved 3 children from a burning house and got a really big pat on the back. Just think if I could play Tennis or ride a bike fast I might have got a knighthood as well." I know its a joke but it really does hit home with me , very true. Doesn't surprise me one bit with 'slimy greaseball eton bred ass-wipes' in power such as cameron who are too busy keeping every other race , religion and their ilk happy just for the media. media fed is exactly what we are , media fed , media run. nuff said.
  2. UKIP for me all the way , hes the only politician that answers a question with an answer instead of taking you 3 times round the block while throwing umpteen words that ive never heard of at you , by that time you cant be bothered to listen anymore. Im certain that mp's are sent away to some sort of school specifically for the 'question dodging' routine. In my personal opinion ...throw each and everyone of em out of parliament and set up a different system , maybe like US or Germany because these asswipes (any party) are simply in their job to screw whatever they can out of it and not for the good of the general public and i will call any of them a liar to their face should they say different. Why stay in EU when its costing us millions every day just to be a member....
  3. . [/url]">http:// My local today , the Moorthorpe in South Elmsall . The area was destroyed after the pits closed , no love lost around these parts i'm afraid. If you need anymore proof , have a look at this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemsworth and read the fifth paragraph "top 2% of the most deprived areas in the whole of the EU" . Cheers maggie!!!
  4. Well.....where do i start? I've had a cracking holiday , followed by a great weekend with the locals ( all of them wanted to see the "video"). The daughters shenanigans has all but destroyed my street / internet cred but ...i've taken a different outlook on it all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,who cares. The wife said tonight "so what if you did it and are embarressed , you're here for a good time not a long time" and she was/is right. Bugger it , i can honestly say that i am one of a few people that has done a karaoke in a mankini and lived to survive it. Chloe is still grounded although she doesn't seem to understand the word , (shes the tall one on the right hand side in the video) and i still keep getting hammered from all the little jibes but what i can HONESTLY say is .....it was the best holiday i have ever had apart from the 10 lagers and 1/2 pint of whisky that put me up to the dreadful incident. Cheers guys and pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty please with ice cream and cherries on top , let me remove the video??? MrM Oh go on then..............
  5. please don't lads , the daughter has even posted it to her facebook account , i'm getting battered like a haddock at the moment... the things you do when drinking , jeeeeessss
  6. WTF!!!??? CHLOE!!!!! Shes officially grounded lads don't worry. I'll remove the link so as not to upset anymore stomachs ....apologies.
  7. haha my dad has embarassed me all holiday and i said i would get my own back.
  8. yes , i am carls daughter , please watch him making a fool of himself haha. left his account open.
  9. Everyone must have heard of London 2012 , so in the sport of it all , whats your fave sport....the one that you don't mind tuning in and watching? I have to be honest and say that mine is weightlifting and Shooting but i don't mind a bit of womens volleyball either.. The poll would only allow me 20 options so sorry for not naming all the sports. Mr M
  10. Its basically an american docu-beat em up-mentary about 2 big guys impounding cars / trucks you name it and the fall-outs that the owners have in trying to get the vehicles back. Sounds plain enough but americans don't do things by halves. Have a look...... Thing is , and this is maybe a question for the stateside members....is it entirely real or pumped up a little for tv? It would be nice if we could air it over here but i can't see any of the stations daring as some of the content is a little extreme.....still good watching all the same. Mr M
  11. May sound like a daft question but............. If the authorities left the instigators to their own devices and name called on networking sites , what exactly would happen? Are the masses going to hit the streets baying for blood? public and social downfall because we , as a state are totally and utterly media fed trogs who can't / won't think for ourselves , lost all comprehension of common sense? It's all media driven bullsh1t simply to sell news / newspapers. Ban the media and the problem would disappear overnight......a radical motion you might scream but very true!!!!!! yours truely mr m
  12. Is it just me or is anyone else noticing the reporters and presenters on news 24 channels not being able to put a single sentence together without sticking " err " or "erm" into everything? "blah blah blah blah , err , blah blah blah blah blahh ermmmm , blah blah , errr" FOR CHRISTS SAKE JUST SPIT IT OUT!!!!!!!! Just when you're getting something slightly coherent , along comes another one. I knew there was a reason why i didn't watch the news. pah. Mr M
  13. La di daa sportsman. Just the culture we live in and tolerate these days , not for long though. Theres only so much strain you can put on a springer line before it explodes. mr m
  14. Ermm , the problem is that it IS the tax man who will not issue me with a receipt!!!! To cut a long story VERY SHORT , i paid a tax bill to hmrc this morning after many phonecalls of wrangling and short responses from them i agreed to pay the bill , a sum of more than 3k. The conversation was a little odd but i double checked the phone number before calling and all the usual security checks were conveyed and then came the payment process which was when the alarm bells started ringing. He instantly put me on hold for a matter of a minute then an unusual noise was heard in the background , not sure but sounded like hard plastic on a table in an empty room. Anyway , payment was made and he seemed a little quick to the get process over and me off the line , i asked if payment was done , yes , i asked if all other matters were resolved , yes. I asked for confirmation of payment by way of a receipt in the post , NO we don't issue receipts at hmrc , what we do is issue you with a reference number in case of any problems. I stated that if you buy a pack of chewing gum at a supermarket that you are given a receipt but i have just handed over a large amount of cash and all i'm given is a reference number. I am not convinced i have been dealt with correctly , i even might have been a victim of card fraud, not sure either way. I will be contacting hmrc AGAIN tomorrow with my pretty little reference number hoping that i haven't been a victim of fraud and if not will be asking for a receipt again. Am i being unrealistic in asking for a receipt?
  15. Just a quick question really ....as the title suggests , if making a payment or purchasing anything then are you ENTITLED to a receipt , if not offered , then can you ask or even demand one? Mr M
  16. Nothing wrong at all in what she says , probably true by any standards. Its a shame there aren't a lot more people prepared to rise above all the "rights and rules" of the land and say what they think. Good on her!!!!!!
  17. Well guys , its that time of year again when the "moto crew" are off to the sunnier climes of the north sea. The last 3 trips we've had have been brilliant , down to the weather but this year might be a little harder on us. 8th July , 70 hour trip .....fingers crossed that this little low pressure soon dissapears and i'll have plenty of pics and vids for you. Carl
  18. Cheers Corydoras and Ken , i did think of googling anyway but i thought i better ask the guys who would know before doing so. I'm going to go with the link and print a couple of copies off , i seem to have a very large number of people willing to sponsor me , i'm not sure if thats because 1, they all knew my father (who i'm doing the jump in respect of) or 2, they just wanna see me jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet!!!! Either way i'm sure it'll be great fun and a fantastic day. Thanks once again lads!!!! Carl
  19. Evening guys. I'm sure this question has come up somewhere down through the annuls but i thought i'd ask , just to be sure. To cut a long story short , i'm serously considering a tandem parachute jump with an effort of raising money for the HEART RESEARCH INSTITUTE. Booking the jump and meeting its rules and regs is fine (at last , taken some time losing this weight) so all that left is the sponsorship form. I understand that all the proceeds will be going to the place of my choice but , how exactly do i make the sponsor form or do i have to order one from some "sponsor offiaciando"? I'm under the impression that i have to state the obvious ; my name , charity , time/date/location of said event ....is there anything i need to do or is that about it? As always guys any help would be deeply appreciated. Carl
  20. Yup , thats the kind of thing i'm not overly fond of Ziggy. This little idea of mine (to give my kids something extra to do and learn about nature) was great until Mrs Harris Hawk was mentioned , damn it. I could quite easily put a "blanking partition" up so the hens couldn't see the bird but i don't know.....these animals seem to have other senses that let them know that danger is not too far away , plus the fact that my neighbour does let the bird out everyday tethered to its perch and it occaisonally lets out a loud squawk. Thanks for the reply Zig.
  21. Good evening guys , long time no post. Anyway , i have recently become rather green fingered in the garden (oo-errr) and the kids seem to be having a great time watching their seeds grow and grow and grow. Along with the kids , i too have been enjoying seeing them watering and caring for their crops and thought about buying a few chickens for our garden , there is adequate room as our garden is around 30 foot wide and about 90 foot long!!! The only problem i can see is our nextdoor neighbour has a Harris Hawk , a lovely looking bird which really is a pleasure to behold. The bird is kept in a shed in his back garden about 10-15 foot from where i would like to set a little pen up for the chickens. I was talking to him about the gardening and possible chickens and he wondered whether the sight or even sound of the hawk would deter the hens from laying eggs. I guess common sense would tell you that the hawk is a predator and either sight or sound would put the hens off laying but does anyone know for sure? Having hens that wouldn't lay because of the hawk wouldn't be all that bad , although not as great as if they did, but i don't and never would put an animal in a constant situation of fear which is what i am asking. Would close proximity to a bird of prey , be it sight or sound either...... distress the hens? and put them off laying? Thanks for any replies guys , as always Mr M I TOLD YOU IT WAS AN ODD QUESTION!!!!
  22. http://www.videobash.com/video_show/antarc...1-weather-14856 watch as she opens the door....i wouldn't like to be out there... carl
  23. That was my thoughts entirely Chesters
  24. Well , the thought did cross my mind John but in hindsight , i'm pretty sure it was canine. I've owned enough dogs in my time to know the difference. I really wish i had taken some pics just to show you guys but i guess i'd get in big trouble with some sort of privacy infringement law. The closest thing that i can relate it to is the films 'silence of the lambs' or 'seven'. It has certainly opened my eyes as to what actually happens behind closed doors. I don't want to get any sort of animal cruelty board involved if the dogs are long gone but then , he would have been living in that state for a long time. Carl
  25. Morning guys. I had a job booked yesterday , to cut it very short i needed access to a skylight on the top floor of the premises to get to the chimney. The customer invited me and Dave into the property and what confronted was what can only be described as a scene from a horror movie. Dog faeces was everywhere and i do mean EVERYWHERE inside the house. We entered through the kitchen and it was pretty much "dodge the poo". We passed through the kitchen , into a hall way , same again then up the 2 flights of stairs , yup all over the stairs too. Bedrooms we passed were covered in the stuff too. I should add that it was a huge house , probably six maybe seven bedroom (a really old house). Passing by a bathroom and a couple more bedrooms with the same we reached the top room where the skylight was , eeuurrgghhh , it was a minefield of excrement. My business partner (dave) made his excuses and we left the building. The customer didn't seem too pleased. Coming back down through the kitchen , i noticed another external door , it looked like it led onto the back garden , at the foot of the door (on the inside) there was a pile of faeces , no exaggerating , probably 12-18 inches high. It looked like the dogs had made an effort to get out and do their business , couldn't and did the deed at the door. I returned home that night and thought long and hard about whether to report it , i really don't like snooping into anyones business but this was on a whole different scale to anything i had ever witnessed before , i really wish i had taken some pics with my phone but i thought it intrusive and rude so i decided against it. Anyway , i decided to contact Env Health (by email) reporting the matter. The problem i had was......... apart from the immense amounts of dog poo , there was no other signs of dogs. No visible dog sighting , no barking , no whining , no dog food , nothing. Either the dogs had long gone , died of infection, disease , been killed , i really don't know. Anyway , i sent an email off and i received a phonecall from the env health this morning saying..... "because there isn't any infected areas OUTSIDE which could endanger people passing , neighbours etc and the problem is INSIDE the property then theres pretty much nothing we can do. If people choose to live like that then that is their choice and unfortunately we have to respect that. Thankyou for taking the time to report your concerns anyway. " I should also add that the house really does look very nice from the outside , in fact many a time i've passed the property and thought about putting an offer in to buy it if i won the lottery!!! So guys , what do i do? Could i contact animal cruelty , my problem as i've said is that there were no obvious signs of dogs . it was deafly quiet while i was in the property. Should i leave it or follow it up? Any advice would be great as its really upset me seeing something like this. Carl
