  1. Hi all, I'm looking for a rod at the moment. My Daiwa High Performance Match (PMB13MM) had a bad accident leaving his identical twin feeling lonely! I would love to find another of these great rods. I would also consider a AWB129, TDXS129 or a AWT13. If anyone has anything let me know and what price you are looking for. I can't go too silly as my 12w/o baby girl is more expensive to run than a rolls-royce at the moment. HID will do for me if i spend too much!!! Thanks in advance, Jon.
  2. I have tried Sun Pier a couple of times without success unfortunately. Not due to the fishing itself, rather outside factors were to blame. The 1st time I was seiged upon by swans and on the second a group of yobs were seriously misbehaving. A shame as I've heard that there are monsters to be had. Will definately have to try again this year.
  3. That is horrifying! It really shocks me of Daiwa as I use their gear and have never had any complaints. Last year they did a full factory re-build on an awb129 for us for £40! For them to want that amount of money to repair your reel is a joke, I wouldn't blame you for boycotting them in the future.
  4. Hi, My best mullet was a shade under 3lb 6oz, It was taken from on the Medway City Estate opposite the Lloyds building. I find the fishing over there is great in the summer. I had a bass nudging 8lb over there last year along with a sole that was 3lb 1oz. Nice to see that the vessels fishing the medway aren't taking everything. I didn't know that there was a Medway Mullet Club, quite ignorant of me really considering thats where I live!
  5. Hi there, I'm new to this forum and just thought I'd say hi. I can't wait for the summer fishing to start, looking forward to more sole and mullet where I hail from, hopefully last year can be bettered as it wasn't great. Jon.
  6. The Sandstorm would be the choice for me. Reason being that in terms of build quality it is significantly better. As a result it will last a lot longer hence better value. {2008 Editor note - cheap beachcasters for sale - click here}
