  1. jack got pics ready to send let me know your e-mail as i can't get anyones profile up for some reason (if anyone who knows why i can't see profiles as i just get an error message please let me know). will send them tommorrow if i get your address.
  2. well thanks for your comments looks like the raider is winning as far as good comments go. knew you'd read this sooner or later alderneyangling wasn't gonig to mention i'd posted on here for advice. i've been working round his house almost every night and he owns a raider himself so knew what his answer would be between the two boats. Had a look round a warrior today and was impressed, my dad seemed to like it too but will have run out in it soon as it goes back in the water in a week looking forward to seeing how it goes.
  3. try alderneyangling.com owner mark sells fire line for 21.99 for 300yds thats the cheapist i've found and whiplash pro for 17.00 he also does big bulk spools which work out really cheap
  4. sorry forgot to and that i've a daiwa supercast 13ft power multiplier model as well same condition as the sandstorm but with original shrink tube and new fuji seat which is more suited to rougher gound and is a lighter slim rod. but would want £75 pound for this one or £ 110 with the slosh. Haven't alot else spare apart from a shimano aerlex fixed spool in brillant condition and a shaskespeare odessa power match rod for mulleting.
  5. willl jack both the rod and reel are what i'd class as in a good to average condition for a year or so's use the rod is is in good condition with nothing more than scratches on it as you'd expect from fishing on the rocks i've fitted a fuji reel seat up the butt to replace those horrible coasters. But had to cut the orgrinal yellow shrink tube off to fit the new reel seat on the rod now has blue shrink tube. The reel again just has scrathes and scuffs on side plates and has been stripped down twice, once a year as all my reels to be oiled and greased works and casts a treat almost full of penn 18lb line. Was thinking of £90 for the two if thats any good to you? I don't think you be disapointed with them at all. can send a pic if you need one.
  6. some times it might only take a few seconds to hook a mullet overtimes days, thats the challenge . but when you do get your first one as well as the grin your have from ear to ear as it storms off your also be hooked yourself. As there is nothing more rewarded than the mullet for the time spendt hunting them. keep at it and enjoy
  7. brought a 13ft sandstorm couple years ago really liked it very easy to get on with especially as this was the first rod i used a multiplier with, which was also a slosh 20. Now got 2 slosh 20's plus a new slosh 20shv and two 30shv's. cant fault the reels but most of my fishing is done on mixed to rough ground as well as congering which is why i dont use the sandstorm or the daiwa supercast i have and choose two greys apollos. in saying that my best eel of 31lb i caught on the sandstorm even if it was bent double it still coped. the new shv's do run fast than the old slosh's and i tend to get better distances with the new ones but really they are more of a rough grond reel. if you don't mind buyying secondhand then let me know as both the sandstorm and 1 slosh 20 is only siting round doning nothing.
  8. firstly hi all i'm a new member from alderney channel islands, wanting to by a new boat well between me and my dad have narrowed it down to either a warrior 175 or a raider 18. Mainly for inshore fishing but with the option to go a few miles offshore in moderate weather. would like to hear from anyone who has an opion on these two boats. I'm sure that your read this mark and yes we have gone against your advice of a orkney as i'm sure i will explain later to you.
