Whilst Carp fishing in my local lake i managed to bring in 2xCrayfish on 2 seperate occasions.Firstly are they a common thing in lakes & secondly how the hell do these things get in these lakes?

Has any1 got any good tips on keeping bread on the hook longer?The small fish seem to nibble it down so much it falls off b4 the carp can get to it.Thanks.
