  1. The saga continues the surgery just texted me " Sorry Mr .... We cannot discuss Mrs ..... using patches she must fill in the form herself and send it .

I returned with if you look at the very first page for the request it states I am filling this form in for "myself" or "someone I care for" so the request CAN be used by a third party ....

Half Ann hour later a phone call from surgery arranged a blood test and scan for tomorrow .The doctor? (Who knows who's on the phone ) yet again went through the details (despite a 1000 letter explanation on the form )then asked for any previous BP readings (despite sending in by email AND attaching them to the form on patches they insist I cannot use) .half way through I mentioned this (this seem to annoy him until I mentioned I was her carer thus privy to answering for her) and he found it and arranged the visit

They also sent an online form to give consent for wife to be discussed by me (as a carer that's been filled in years ago) the crazy thing was it was online ,I could fill in the details but could not find a way to sign it and it wouldn't allow it to go back without it .I have printed it out (by downloading it changing it to a pdf and printing it ) and it will be handed over tomorrow .Why is everything becoming more difficult today next you will be filling in forms to leave home šŸ¤¬

It's quiet obvious why they cannot see it is beyond me

  2. Yes I watched one of many slightly different ways of growing bananas from bananas (plausible there are seeds in bananas) so the Mrs tried and it came up with nothing but a house full of tiny black flies and a rotting banana.

There's many fake vids from 'natives ' building 3 story houses with swimming pools using a stick and a bit of clay to villagers 'finding' some bit of tech in a sodden pile of sticks and rubbish and making it better than new and it working. We all know damp rusts iron and ali and tech is full of it even component legs are only coated with tin they are not the tin or silver plated copper anymore .

I am not saying water isn't used to clean populated pcb's they can be cleaned in distilled water in a ultrasonic bath but it's dried immediately unlike roadsides in the Philippines or whatever .

I did watch one very good 'found in a hedge' type vid (India must be full of hedges) a restoration of a scooter boy that thing looked like a collabder once the paint was off but the guy welded more metal into the holes and it looked great ,I doubt though going by experience the barrel was so easily fixed seized pistons and being full of water are usually only replaceable by new parts

I'm hearing stories like this almost on a weekly basis. The unfortunate truth is that you just can't put any faith what-so-ever in the NHS anymore. I remember a time when one thought if one gets ill then the NHS was there to take care of you and you'd be in good hands.Ā

These days I wouldn't trust them to look after a pet hamster, the NHS is nothing but a very bad joke.Ā

.......and the doctors have the nerve to say they don't get paid enough and go on strike!

Hoping Mrs Chesters feels lots better Dave.Ā

Yes she seems ok but laying off the continual (enough to give me high BP) tidying and taking it easy, enjoying my post meal farts as nature intended and looking at temu for more gadgets that are used once then go and live in a cupboard until new crap ousts them .

The countries buggered most probably orders from our masters at WEF or something in the water ,hopefully voters realise nothings going to improve if they keep voting in the problem!

Sorry to hear that, Dave, and hope she's feeling better today.

You know what's wrong. A massive increase in population, with no correlated increase in services - and nobody prepared to join the dots.

Lesson learned! If you (or the Mrs) are ambulant, and it's an emergency, get a taxi, or beg a lift to the hospital. Yes, it's expensive, but what price a life?

The trouble was being old we look back and lived in a time when promises were honoured and ambulances came (there's an ambulance station 2 miles away near the hogs back) it was a tossup getting a taxi and her getting a heart attack on the way or waiting for the ambulance with the knowledge they had the means of treating her if she did.

More annoying (yes she's fine the blood pressure still high but only just outside her upper "normal" range thanks) amusingly you cannot contact the local doctor to get it looked into .The surgery uses a dire app called patches (no the NHS APP only allows contact FROM the doctor you cannot contact them via it) .But worst of all the first contact available is 6.30 tonight most probably for being looked at tomorrow .When we first used Dr Brown (he came into Dr Mays surgery when we were patients of him) you turned up at 8 am formed a queue took a wooden number and was seen that morning ! I am not sure progress is progress when everything seems to get worse .

I have already sent in her weekends omron BP chart via email I have no doubt they will 'overlook' it like they did when I sent my 3 monthly weeks worth the last time (been going fine up to then) I try my hardest to do my bit why don't they do theirs all they do is shift their workload onto some app with no doubt poorly paid Indians with English as their second language to do it for fourpence or worse still artificial crapness while the surgery staff moan about the conservatives (who don't run the NHS) drinking tea and eating biscuits doing **** all

It reminds me of taking in my first weeks worth (as a print out) the doctor was a bit smirky when I told her I had one ,she was probably thinking it was some wrist BP machine . Soon changed her smirk when she realised it was a machine above her one and went into far more detail than just pushing a button and looking at a screen and judging on that. Hopefully the old boy practices disappear Drs are no longer gods who know all, they are GP's IE they little about lots they use the internet just as much as us to diagnose I have more respect for vets who's clients don't tip them off what the problem is

I think her pain didn't cause the high BP I think it was the other way round her pulse rate didn't shoot up it was steady BUT the high BP could cause a heart attack so finding out what caused the sudden high BP is for concern it's bad enough she lives with me she doesn't need any more pressure lol

  5. Our daughter said her son suddenly got a phonecall saying his mate had been in a car crash .It was just down the road so off he went to see the story .A black scooter holding a black clad rider (they don't help themselves!) Had plowed into the nearside of the car as he turned left .Anyway the police and an ambulance were summoned the police just said exchange details and left it at that. The kid had pain in his leg but otherwise was mobile . Cut a long story short the ambulance never showed (it happened almost outside the kids house) the mum swept up the bits from the bike while waiting and in the end the dad took the kid off to a&e in his car after 2 hours waiting.

    One off we hope?

Nope last night my Mrs suddenly had a severe pain in her chest and I took her blood pressure 223 over 110 so I went online and the app after filling in many tick boxes said call 999 (does it ever say anything else?)

Vert nice lady triaged my Mrs via an interpreter (me) we retook BP it was still about the same so she said ambulance on the way ,we waited ...... 2 hours later the pain subsided but her BP was still very high and she was hot and trembly (unusual like most women she continually says she's cold ) and we waited .....

We first called at 6 pm and now it was midnight her BP was still 183 over 110 but the pain was gone so we lay fully clothed in bed waiting for the knock .

At 4am the phone rang " do you still need an ambulance" I bit my lip it's not her fault but I was close to losing it ."sorry we have been busy" !

She triaged again and I took her BP luckily by then it was 153 over something and then she said it's going down can we make our way to frimley? I explained we had no transport and the first bus a mile away was hours away .she went quiet (obviously consulting her tick chart sheets) then said an online doctor would call .

An hour later one did went all through everything we had said now 3 times and did a BPĀ  as before before and he said take her meds now !(this was 5 am) and he would call back in an hour's time .

He duly did and her BP was now 160 over 89 so improving so he was happy to dismiss her but said if it rose again ring 999.

So what has happened to this country ? I think the ambulance handover system is wrong .A large ward should be set aside with a couple of nurses and the ambulance crew simply drag in the patient NFC their pad over to one on the bed the patient is put into then leave .Going by experience the crew cannot leave until the patient is handed over )the reason their backed up outside)
Ā and in my last case they say with me for over 2 hours then told my story and if they had administered drugs etc then hung about laughing with the nurses for half an hour before (probably ) going to the cafe for a nosh .The whole system is old it needs overhauling it lucky my Mrs is still here šŸ¤¬

Don't wait to A&E let you in simply drop the patient off with nurses and go and rescue the next poor sod it's so simple

  6. Been watching this stunner and her unlucky (or very lucky husband ) Charles and kids .why on earth are people coming here when there's countries like this (besides hand outs šŸ™„)

Yes there's poverty that's everywhere unless your means are larger than your expenses but being poor doesn't have to mean you are poor as we know it IE money . You can have zero $ and eat well ,be housed and have little expenses .

The first one I watched (by accident and a pretty face) was her and her kids taking pots and pans to a river to wash them ,bit puzzling we bring the river to the house )but she's obviously embraced the 21st century I hope she doesn't get drawn in by the bright lights and end up like the "advanced" countries we desperately try and be with it's disadvantages .

    https://youtube.com/@eitatianasouza?si=8plfE4Pxo32Lv9Kj

PS the language is Portuguese most people think everyone speaks Spanish in south America the subtitles are a little iffy lol

Never had the inclination to travel but perhaps next time round I hope I try but I fear everywhere will be the melting pot the west insists we need to be with the WEF and WHO aided by NATO and the UN sitting above the rest who supply their wants

I presum the river she resides near will be forced to change its name to the Rio non-white we can't have these race baiters having naughty words in their country especially with slavery involved ,spotted her grand parents on the boat at so it must be a family outing ?

I was confused about her grandad "corn " milling but trying to fathom out why "corn" is so heavily processed I think it's not corn as we know it but ridding a root of cyanide ? I thought it was sago or semilina but it's different completely

  7. For an baitrunner you can't beat the price.Trouble with AliExpress is you take a chance as the descriptions can be vague or sparing with the truth and the delivery times.

Weird system where buyers do or do not charge for delivery or insist on a minimum cost before it's free .Also half the order despite from different shops end up in one package but are individually addressed so there could be a bit of drop shipping going on ? I have noticed differentĀ  sellers with almost identical shop stock.Biut then that's similar to eBay or Amazon and some of their strangely named sellers usually (on eBay) some 3 bed house in London which I doubt is paying tax

I just ordered a load of surface mount components but nearly bought a single switch where the postage was 3 times the cost of it .been looking for a new tablet but you have to be wary and buy it from the official outlet on Ali or you could end up with trash using the same sales blurb .

I was talking to the neighbour when he brought round a temu parcel miss delivered .He said it's probably cheap rubbish but I countered it's probably where half the seller's you see buy it from at a big mark up so I take the chance and besides liberties taken in the pictures with child size feet on carpets to give the impression they are bigger it's not as bad as you think

  8. No benefits of any kind , put them on the street then fine any employers that employ them hundreds of thousands of pounds . I bet the flood would turn to a trickle because we won't be rewarding criminals getting here illegaly.

We are a soft touch and they know it .As for the "safe" route it's in most countries they apply from home and wait for an answer ,if there's no way in their country go to the British Embassy in the next country and apply there .Why they come in boats is because they know full well they have NO reason to get permission and when they chuck their ID in the channel we have no clue when their multi appeals fail in 15 years time we don't have a clue where to deport them to and use that an impregnating some idiot girl the excuse of "right to a family" or whatever to stay .

We cannot win it's to late the government of any kind won't use the force like they would if a brit did the same in another country and demand money ,housing and a new car and phone with threats ,they would be in jail until they told the authorities where to deport them to.

There's an idiot on TV right now saying most are abused from war torn countries , if they know that's the excuse to get in they will ALL come using that excuse .It's not some new excuse Rageh Omah (sp?) Did a bit on illegal immigration from Africa to here 30 years ago, one of the guys told him to say he was from Somalia using the excuse of war torn to get in, the amusing thing was he is from Somalia šŸ¤£ he visited the chap in his comfy flat later in the documentary šŸ™„

  9. It amuses me that one of the reasons for refusal was the failed "asylum" seekers could be sent back to where they come from ,surely that's the point ? We can't do it but they can .

If they're failed "asylum" seekers then the reason for coming here is invalid anyway so they SHOULD be sent home because there's no reason to believe anything bad( bar in their head and in the tick box bit of A4 full of excuses to get round the rules ) to be here .

If I were incharge I would send them to a solely British bit of land where there would be no problem at all ,give them all a free tent (no problems living in then around calaise or half the camps around the world)Ā  and put them on a boat with a full barge we just forked out for and send them to South Georgia let the bastards pay for a dingy to get back from there!

  10. They just chuck in a few more bearings and thinner plastic for the body and a quick paint job to catch the eye .Modern reels are vastly better machined than old ones but the basic designs the same ,it's a device to store line and catch the eye of the gullible neophiliast nothing more (ok I googled) .

Bearing overkill is a moot point I have had many tangles where you set up a rod and put it on its rest with the handle 'just so ' and the damn thing is so loose its handle insists in moving by itself spoiling my day .I am the boss if I want my handle horizontal it's damn well going to stay where I bloody want it šŸ¤¬ multi step anti reverses help (about the only good invention along with bait runners since the 50's) but that's not the point .

Luckily my pocket decides what's bought not the lust for the new fashion that rarely lasts 6 months before something with an 'X' or two or an agressive name like beast master or ripper on the label crops up to tempt the foolish .If it ain't broke it's fine imho

Thinking about it what HAS changed there's been a few fads like line going through the rod and closed face reels but technically all that's changed isn't design but materials that have. But graphite rods are just an refinement of fiber glass not some tech that's changed tackle since the 50's or before. You could even say anĀ  intrepid elite was a bait runner it allows line to be taken with the spool closed but then if you loosened the clutch they all do .All inventors have done is turn a line holding drum 90 degrees with the means to put the line on it for storage and release ,basically my old turn spool spool alvey is it's dad .

  11. Not worn out my diawa something's or other from the 80's yet but a good price compared to the rest . Just wondering how it justifies its name ,crawling about on slippery roofs ? Scaling cliffs with a katana in its teeth or most probably killing itself when the bailarm spring doesn't spring closed .

  12. Watched a couple of guys going from top of Scotland to lands end ,one in a diesel one in an EV ,EV cost twice as much in 'fuel' and took 6+ hours longer .Once it's nothing but EV's the 15 minutes city will be here because you can't afford or find anywhere to charge up so you walk like our medieval ancestors were forced to by their over lord's

  13. This guy's about again and seemingly mastered Spanish

Now this guy is wandering around with a phone on a stick in the most dubious places in the world without a problem it seems

Would he do the same in londonistan ? That phone would be gone in an hour thanks to Khan's deliberate mission to make it a third world country ,he's done a remarkable job it's now a fourth world country šŸ¤¬

  14. None here either unless their eyes can see IRĀ  from the cameras and being in the sticks it's really dark when there's no moon .

We can see them but they don't know it ,strangely humans appear not to notice CCTV and it's dull red glow (a different story if you viewed using a camera it lights up and can be seen a hundred yards away) even in the daytime it's not noticed a workman had a wee 4 feet from one in clear view

Our doorbell tells us of something approaching and turns on our echo8 if someone presses it .3 of 4 of our outside cameras have motion sensors but they make so many mistakes they are disabled but one only has 'human' detection but it's alarm is off as there's no settings for switching it off over night ,the DVR beeping at 2 am is most disturbing when it thinks a spider is bill the burger.

A couple will notify you of noises but it's pretty crude it's supposed to be hearing breaking glass but a noise is a noise so it's been limited to recording not notifying .

  15. Update to the trick or treat mass influx from last year ,the numbers are down but it's now obvious it's not locals or even outsiders from the local middle school whos children come from far and wide and bring the street to a standstill every afternoon at 3pm ti 3.30 (don't kids get out early today!)

A mini bus must have disgorgedĀ  some brats half way up the road then not realised all the roads are cul-de sacs and drove down and then had bother turning round as there's not much room at the ends .He reverse beeped away for a minute while his load passed him and then once they had stripped anything left they followed him back up .

After they went up I went and put the catch back on the gate (the shiny new stainless hasp and padlock stopped them cold ) and I had a peek up the road and the mini bus was sat up there waiting but going by the screaming the brats were going down the adjoining road looking for loot .Raining now but looking at the CCTV there's a faint brat noise so I guess the next batch is on its way

AHA that lot were the lot who got through the gate last year ,the same adult pulled off the catch then realised further down was the improved defences ,you could plainly see (with a bit of zoom one the camera) him trying to push the gate open but 1" screws into oak don't budge šŸ˜ I half expected him to hoist the brats over but he just followed the brats noisy exit to pick at the empty wrappers further down. The first kids came in daylight to reap the best of the takings .Having spoken to Stanley's mum last year they spotted one kid emptying the bowl into a carrier bag so intervieand and made it put it back and this year screwed it down and refilled now and again .Must be mad sweets are bloody expensive just to give away to strangers when there's a fat bloke across the field willing to take them off their hands lol

I was thinking of putting a bowl up next year about 8 feet up in our tree with help yourself on it and a pumpking below and put wrappers in it ,might be amusing to watch lol

  16. Not many of those round here the rivers very shallow ,we were entertained watching a couple of Muslim girls doing strange things with a phone camera .

We speculated it was for college? It comprised of assembling a folding table in several places in the field and taking turns to run to it (the phone propped against a tall tin?)

Waving their arms in fits of laughter .

They moved to the kids park and did pretty well the same jumping over or off bits of play equipment and as they had several A4 bits of paper it was scripted. I was going to stroll across and ask what they were up to as I recognised them from the ghetto but old guys talking to young girls is seen as evil today .It's a shame I talk to anyone I don't give a crap if they eat babies so long as they're not bothering me or mine .

I know most of them from metal detecting their fields they are not the chip on the shoulder Muslims with attitude from Oop north ,they realised early on I am not for converting as does the local JW Mandy(must have been a stunner in her 20's)Ā  ,the local vicar gave up 40 years ago lol.

Going back to nubile women there were plenty when fishing at the frenshams and usually without lycra at all on a warm night ,unfortunately most had drunk boyfriends so you pretended not to notice and gawped but many came in groups without boys at all got drunk had a swim and partied ,I loved the 70's

  17. He certainly would have loved the end of my garden ,I chucked a mouse I caught in a trap and chucked it over the fence and a red kite instantly landed and grabbed it ,talking ten feet here ! It scared off the 6 deer that were watching me from the middle of the field .
