Evening guys and gals, Ken's op on Monday was cancelled thanks to our exceptional NHS.......couldn't coordinate an intensive care bed with the operation. Anyway, he had the op yesterday morning. Went into theatre at 9.30 and came out at around 2.30 in the afternoon. Wasn't a pleasant thing to see after he'd come out with all the wires / pipes etc. and on the life support but by midnight he was breathing for himself Following morning he was sitting up drinking and talking so all looking good! God help you all......he'll be back here before you know it giving you hell Dave

Another update for you all. Op is now scheduled for Monday afternoon. Once again, on behalf of Ken, many thanks for all your words of support. Dave

Hi guys and gals, Sorry for not responding sooner but it's been pretty hectic with everything.....had Brandon's (the little sparrow) 5th birthday party to attend to yesterday and spent today driving down to Bournemouth and back to pick up Ken's Mother in Law. Anyway, Ken is doing ok. Not had the op yet as they've had to get his diabetes under control first but surgeon hopes it will be middle of next week. He really is very grateful of all your words of encouragement. I'll let you know what the doc says this week! Best Regards, Dave

Hi guys, I'm Ken's future son in law just so you know! Just wanted to let all of you know that he was admitted to hospital on Thursday afternoon having suffered a heart attack. He's doing ok and looked well today, but following the results of an Angeogram has been told that he has to have a triple heart bypass operation.....possibly next week. I thought it might cheer him up a bit to read some messages from his Angling buddies......so fire away and I'll print them off to take into him. He is very dissapointed that he's had to cancel his fishing trips for the rest of the year!!! Typical Ken eh? Thanks in advance. Dave
