  1. upload it to imageshack or somewhere & then paste the link in to the picture box when you click on the icon, under the fonts dropdown, 4th from the left
  2. wow what a monster, love to see a picture of that
  3. yeah im going to buy some scales because we had a perch about the same length as the roach, definitely good fish in there. Tape measure's a good idea. We did roughly measure it against a disgorger & it was about twice the length...so maybe 12 inches or something? dunno how long a disgorger is.... Its certainly the biggest roach ive ever seen, just wish it had been me who caught it, fought very well apparently
  4. My brother caught this nice roach on a small river in Oxfordshire the other day. We didnt have any scales but it seemed huge to me for a roach. Just wanted some confirmation that it is indeed a roach and any opinions about the weight of it.
  5. both my gf and brother have recently bought a pack from Argos for £9.99 & have been catching on it (often more than me )
  6. no ledger weights?! id buy a trace and a spinner as well, can be good fun & a bit more active than staring at a float or rod end
  7. Looking for a nice river to fish with my girlfriend when im at her place. She lives near Slough & have tried the canal there where we had a few small perch but id rather be on a river really. I know the Thames runs quite close (Datchet & WIndsor) but im not sure what the ticket situation is there, heard Datchet is very pricey but dont know about Windsor. But I'd be interested in some smaller rivers or somewhere on the Thames in this area that's free to fish (can't afford my rod license for a few weeks yet so would be good to avoid baliffs!). Can anyone offer any info?
  8. Im going to have to give this a go, i live not that far from Lechlade. So if the Riverside only sells tickets for the weirpool who deals with the rest of it? I've heard there's a lot of trout in Bibury, also quite close
  9. Im fond of green teas & fruit teas but one ive found excellent for the flask is Orange, Mango & Cinnamon tea, by Twinings. Two bags & a few spoons of sugar in a flask & you're away. The cinnamon & orange really warm you up. Quite a refreshing tea ooooh yeah, masala chai you mean? Haven't had anything the same outside of India but indian spicy tea is excellent
  10. I used to go fishing on the Windrush all the time 5-10 years ago & it was packed full of chubb but ive been a few times in the last few weeks and I haven't seen any fish (the water was a bit murky) and have only caught a few trout and some pesky crayfish. I was just wondering if anyone has noticed the lack of fish in there? Its really disappointing, it used to be a great place to fish but seems almost dead at the moment.
