  1. Hi, Starting up a new Sea fishing forum, Started work on it in early March! I have included articles and free information sections. Also I am looking for some moderators to join! Visit Visit the Forum
  2. Thats a nice fish! I heard that they slime like mad!! and can reduce the weight by quite a bit!
  3. Hi all, Just wondering if any of you have had any luck with hooking into a ray yet! I have heard some anglers catching but is it still a bit early?
  4. Sorry if you feel this is advertising mate! But I thought it would be a good bit of info on our over priced tackle! I have no need to advertise by writing posts! mmmm... tackle prices off topic, I thought tackle was to do with fishing
  5. Hi all, Just posting to give you a slight insight in what I had discovered over the week! As you may know I run a large online sea fishing tackle website! I have been looking over the last few weeks about increasing my range! I had a few brands that sprang to mind ie Rapala, Storm, Snowbee etc etc... I went directly to the UK Main wholesalers to get a idea of price and range! I then had a tip off about another company overseas that not only stock the whole range but wholesale it at half the price! Alot of anglers blame the tackle shops for high prices. But its actually the uk wholesalers even main agents that seem to charge over the odds. For example Rapala here is almost half the price at wholesale.. well near enough after the VAT. so most Rapala lures retail around say £11.99 which is a fair old price for the angler to lose. However if I was to get Rapala lures and get them shiped into the UK and after VAT and Duty they still come in way under price than from the UK suppliers, even tho its the same damm thing! So from now on im going to get most of my stuff shipped over and not only save myself a few quid and increase my range but also save money for the UK angler!. Why to they charge so much for somthing in this country! Its really bad! NO wonder our tackle range in the Uk is so limited! Anyway I hope to enjoyed me ranting on about our tackle prices!
  6. You can try this site & charter for more information! He is based in Looe and I hve not personally fished with him however I know of people in my are that would rec this guy. Force Ten Charter http://www.ukcharterboats.co.uk/acatalog/L..._Force_Ten.html Hope this helps!
  7. Hi I live in St Austell Cornwall and have a mate who goes Portbeagle shark fishing in Looe and Padstow.. Catching down here is a common thing in the summer months. Just make sure you go out with a experience charter and im sure you wont be disapointed
  8. Hi there, related to your question on Fladen quality. I have been stocking fladen for about 3 months on my online store. I agree with the fact that when you purchase a low end standard reel or rod it will not last you long... I would not reccommend or stock products in this category due to build quality, however lures, line, and fishing rods above £40 is very good quality. You get what you pay for in my opinion. Yes Fladen is the low end of fishing gear but it is also very good if you do not want to pay 100's of pounds specially if you only fish now and again. Fladen is not in the tackle tarts shopping basket but I feel you can still catch the same as any other brand. I ve seen kids land larger fish on crappy cheap tackle and rods! whilst the guy to there side has all the fancy stuff and catches nothing. I currently stock Conrad Poppers which I have sold tons of. They are really good and dont break the bank if you lose it or snag up! After all improving your fishing is about trying out diffrent methods, but I feel that large costs on some brands stop you from trying. Anyway Ill stop going on! Hope this sheds some light on the topic for you! Cheers Monster Fishing
