  1. Regarding the post on giving away the locations of fishing venues, It was interesting to read the views on this. Does that mean I won't get many replies to my post of 6th June about where to fish in Wiltshire? If so and if people don't want to give away these sort of details on the site, why can't you send people like me an email? What do you think? The good side would be that only people who received email answers from their posts would know the venues, the bad side is that you might have unwanted emails being sent to you. Sue
  2. Going to Warminster, Hunters Moon, Henfords Marsh for a holiday because it's supposed to be nice and quiet around there and there is a lake on site. Has anyone been there lately for a look or to fish? I'd be gratefull for any news on Hunters Moon please? Cheers and happy fishing to all. Sue
  3. Hey Chris that doesn't say much for me does it? I have one in my collection of Robert Harrops. Have you caught anything as big as his?Sue
  4. Thanks for comments my neighbourly anglers. I don't know which smiley is which unless I put my glasses on! Yes Alan my computer was rather ill with a very potent virus but it is not catching now (a bit like me really, not been fishing for a week and have major withdrawal symptoms).
  5. Hi everyone, has anyone ever fished at "Hunters Moon" at Henford Marsh in Wiltshire. It is advertised in the Hoseasons holiday brochure and only has a dozen little lodges around 2 lakes (1 trout lake and 1 coarse fishing lake). I'm hoping to go there for a holiday break. Cheers Sue

  8. Well done my fairer sex angler. Wish I had been there to see your face, I bet it was a picture. It should become easier now as they say the first time is always the hardest. Well done and keep fishing.

  12. The first one - green and yellow. Perhaps (and I'm not an artist) you could have incorporated a landing net in the background. I agree the white is a little too much though. Regards Sue

  22. Anyone handling fish like in the picture wants banning from the banks, or better still put them in a net and drag them around the same way  . I am fairly new to fishing and ALWAYS treat my catch with the utmost respect - I even talk to them with a little psychoanalysis which keeps them calm!!!

  24. Can anyone help me with some hookable paste recipes. Our usual lake doesn't allow tiger nuts or boilies but we are allowed tiger nut juice. Someone suggested I to try to make a paste with breadcrumbs, digestive biscuits and various flavourings but they tell me that the bait won't stay on the hook when I'm float fishing. Any ideas please.
