I got fed up with being an angling widow, so as they say "if you can't beat them, join them", so I did. That was last July and now I'm hooked. Excuse the pun. So I've only been fishing for 11 months. :cool:

IS IT RIGHT THAN MEN DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE TOWELS AND MARIGOLDS FOR WASHING UP AS I WAS TOLD IT'S BECAUSE THEIR FEET DON'T FIT UNDER THE SINK, SO IT'S CLASSED AS A JOB FOR THE LADIES. SORRY GUYS NO OFFENCE MEANT REALLY!!!BY THE WAY A JOKE FOR YOU MEN - WHY IS PSYCHOANALYSIS A LOT QUICKER FOR MEN THAN FOR WOMEN? Hi New2it I have the same problem as you and someone suggested I bought a herring from our supermarket and practice holding that. I bought the fish home and with the help of my sister, managed, with gloves, to hold the fish (my sister even made it flap about like a 'real' fish would do). I feel a little more confident now, so I'll keep you posted on whether or not I manage to land my 'catch' on my next fishing trip. Pity it wasn't last weeks 9 pound carp. By the way, my husband thought I was really crazy when I bought the fish and wanted me to see a psychiatrist. Good luck - Sue
