  1. Solved. I had a second cookie folder that had a reference to antlervision and several other suspicious looking ones that are now deleted.
  2. Repeated, but couldn't find a way of deleting it.
  3. I keep getting error messages about returned or delayed emails, supposedly sent by someone using the main part of my email address, but with a different name. This is typical: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed: dunlapdd@antlervision.com Message will be retried for 2 more day(s) ----- Message header follows ----- Received: by 10.151.43.12 with SMTP id v12mr10293888ybj.295.1247583382998; Tue, 14 Jul 2009 07:56:22 -0700 (PDT) Return-Path: <tavpehcs@emaildeleted.co.uk> Received: from psmtp.com (exprod7mx241.postini.com [64.18.2.95]) by mx.google.com with SMTP id 18si7750815gxk.77.2009.07.14.07.56.19; Tue, 14 Jul 2009 07:56:22 -0700 (PDT) It carries on, but I didn't want to list a load of IP Addresses. I haven't found any viruses or malware, so does anybody know what this is?
  4. James Delingpole in today's Times sums him up perfectly: "And who’d want to try stuff like the moon walk anyway? No self-respecting teenager, that’s for sure. The very last person you want to emulate is some facially reconstructed lady boy who prances about making high-pitched squeals while scratching his crotch like some gibbon with a bad case of fleas." http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/c...icle6586367.ece
  5. What "strength" is this that the BNP are going from? Perhaps you would also like to give us your educated appraisal of what constitutes a "real" British citizen.
  6. After updating AVG yesterday, I was unable to connect to the internet this morning. Following a system restore I connected immediately. Has anybody else had the same problem?
  7. AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!! No, no, no. Not again. Please stop it immediately.
  8. My computer has a Medion SAA7133 TV tuner card installed that Device Manager recognises and reports as working perfectly. The only problem is thatthe godawful Media Center (sic) software won't recognise it. Is there any other way to watch TV through the card without using the horrible Microsoft interface?
  9. Where I live they are - at least on Friday and Saturday nights, but empty during the week. One pub that used to be ruined by a few old gits at the bar making clouds of smoke, is now so packed that the only problem is getting served. Nobody is going out to pubs during the week at night, although a few make up for this with regular lunch time trade, especially if they serve decent food. It is changing social habits combined with the economic climate that is killing off the pubs, not because a group of selfish people are no longer allowed to poison the air and make everybody else go home stinking as bad as they do.
  10. Don't you mean he does his best to inject some death into some "pretty" tedious sequences? The man's an absolute prat and should only be allowed on godawful channels like Nuts TV.
  11. You weren't trying to let it install Service Pack 3 were you? I've blocked that because of all the problems it caused. The only trouble is that I now can't update Zone Alarm because it requires SP3.
  12. So does this mean it can only be done within a forum by using the forum's own software? There is no way of making a similarly abbreviated or re-named link to insert into an email.
  13. How do you do it? The only way I know of pasting a web page reference into a forum, is to copy and paste the entire web address. I often see examples of clickable shortcuts that have been reduced to a single word, yet I have absolutely no idea of how it is done.
  14. Are there really enough pregnant women around at any one time to get this project off the ground?
  15. Well here's one. My previous computer came with Norton already installed, but after a system crash, Norton refused to update, saying that my subscription had expired (it had more than six months to go). Then I found that Norton were impossible to contact. There was no email address provided and no phone number. In the end, I found a contact number listed on a forum, rom somebody else who had managed to find it from somewhere. The problem was that it was either continually engaged, or else nobody would answer it. In the end I found an address to complain to, wrote a letter and never received a reply. That was when I ditched Norton for good, although I had to download some special software from a third party site to get rid of the damned thing.
  16. With AVG I simply disable automatic scanning and start it running when I go out of the house. I only run a complete scan once every couple of weeks or so.
  17. Programmes like that have been shown on television recently, made by both Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fernley Whittingstall, both avowed meat eaters. I am a vegetarian myself, but have no problem with people eating meat if it has been reared and killed humanely. The problem is that meat has become a degraded and devalued commodity that has become far too cheap. It always used to be a treat that either required a bit of real effort to procure it, or else was bought for special occasions. The proliferation of kebabs, gristle burgers and buckets of chicken is an obscenity. Many years ago when I was training as a teacher, I was on a teaching practice at a school in Letchworth, where a teacher told me that many of the children had never been out into the countryside and didn't realise that there was any connection between the pies and sausages they were eating and real, live animals. Nobody would suffer at all if they could only eat meat once a week and they might even be healthier as a consequence. People were complaining recently about a programme that showed dogs being brutally treated and reared for meat in China, yet it is morally no different from the way millions of animals are treated in this country under the factory farming system. The difference in the way that these acts of cruelty are revealed to the public is that Hugh and Jamie are doing it for all the right reasons, whereas PETA is just a self-serving publicity machine that seeks only to generate funds tp perpetuate itself, from people stupid enough to fall for their anthropomorphic propaganda.
  18. ??? Why do you think your broadband speed affects the length of the AVG scan? You don't even have to be online.
  19. I found a £20 note in a car park once and handed it in to the police station. I'm sure they all thought I was some kind of a nutter, but there was always the possibility that it was a young kid's birthday money or an old lady's pension. I claimed it after a month with a clear conscience.
  20. Good - that's less of it to get washed into the rivers.
  21. Needs a few more options really.
  22. I'm sure it's a very nice lamp, but you can buy brighter ones from Aldi or Lidl for a fiver these days.
  23. The first comment by Corydaras seems seems entirely in line with Christian thinking to me, in that it is obviously possible for a "slag" to get pregnant without any male intervention whatsoever. This incredibly misogynistic way of thinking continues with the quote above, where it is obviously the GIRL's fault for not using a condom. You have to despair sometimes.
  24. I have never been let down by the Drennan Boilie Hooks, which seem to fit the bill. They've been around for a long time, so there could well be something better, but they are cheap and they do th job. The only other thing I would say is that I usually bend the eye so that it is either straight, or bending slightly inwards. I could never work out why they made them with the eye out-turned. It could be that they are so old that they were first produced before the hair rig and line aligner became popular.
