  1. John and Ben Hofgartner have kindly offered Stoney and Friends one weeks holiday at their Etang Des Royale lake to sell with all profits going to Macmillan Cancer Support. The week on offer is 11th August - 18th August 2007 The cost of the holiday is £345 per person up to a maximum of 12 anglers. However if the lake is booked on block for a maximim of 12 anglers, then John is offering a special deal at £3,000 Included in the price is fishing and food. You will need to make your own travel arrangements. Anyone interested in this offer, please contact me either by email ( cisaacs@acumus.com) or via pm. The offer above is their standard price for a week, but Stoney and Friends will get ALL THE PROFIT.
  2. Hermit Where abouts on the Mole are you fishing? There are some very good stretches, and some very nice fish in the Mole - its just knowing where too look!! I have always had most success roving with one rod.
  3. Raffle Prizes and Donations As you will all hopefully know, at next weeks Stoney and Friends RMC Dynamite Yateley Fish-in, Stoney and Friends are hoping to break the £100,000 barrier on total money they have raised for Macmillan Cancer Relief. In order to ensure this is achieved we need to make our raffle as appealing as possible. Most of our usual supporters/sponsors have donated prizes, but times are obviously hard for the trade as less “casual” supporters have donated this year. In this respect, can you help in any way? We are looking for any items that we can use as raffle prizes. They do not have to be angling related, nor do they have to be of high value. Anything that may appeal to someone will be gratefully appreciated. It may be that you work for a Company that has Corporate marketing gifts/clothing/umbrella’s/mugs etc – any of these will be much appreciated. If you can offer any “prizes”, please contact me on mailto:chris_isaacs@europ-assistance.co.ukchris_isaacs@europ-assistance.co.uk or phone me on 07971 792376, or alternatively contact Allan Stone. Thanks

  5. Depends on which weekend you are looking at. First weekend in September, and you won't get much better value for money than the Stoney and friends fish in at Yateley! http://www.stoneyandfriends.co.uk for more details
  6. Elton Sorry for the delay in replying (thanks Singy for bringing o my attention). Stoney is the man to talk to (I believe you have his number), but I believe there are still swims on the Match, Sandhurst, Summer, Horseshoe and maybe Nursery. Regards
  7. There are still some tickets available for this not to be missed event. For those that Chesh doesn't feed, there will be a caterng van on site all weekend. Sunday also sees one of the best angling raffles around.
  8. Tickets are still available for this not to be missed event. There will be catering facilities on site, a toilet or two!!!!!, and a huge raffle on the Sunday. All money raised goes to Macmillan Cancer Relief. More details on www.stoneyandfriends.co.uk or contact me.
  9. Good response Elton to what I hope was a tongue in cheek comment by Chesters. For anyone interested, it is likely that the total amount raised by Stoney and Friends over years for Macmillan Cancer Relief, after Yateley 2004 will exceed £100,000. Even Chesters must agree thats not a bad effort for "Stoney and money paying slight aqaintences". For Chesters information, organising successful events of this nature is not a 5 minute job, nor is it a one person job (hence the "friends"). As soon as one event is finished, the organisation for the next starts. In addition they are accounts to run, annual returns to prepare for the charity, contacting and cajoling the angling rade for support, news lettrs to issue, event reports to write and circulate, posters to design and print and our website to keep up to date, let alone keeping people informed via forums like this. And what does Stoney get out of it? - absolutely nothing other than the personal pleasure of knowing he has been instrumental in raising thousands of pounds for a very good cause.
  10. Anyone from this site hoping to attend? [ 12. July 2004, 02:19 PM: Message edited by: Chris63 ]
  11. Application forms are now available at Stoney and Friends Date - 3/4/5th September We want this years event to be the most successful ever and ideally we are looking to raise £20,000 from the weekend. If you fancy attending, get your applications in early so we can send you your sponsor forms and you can get out their collecting as soon as possible. If anyone works for a company that would like to offer some corporate sponsorship, have a look at our site and/or get in touch with me.(Split Lake already has one sponsor) Last year we had just over 100 anglers attending, lets see if we can get the numbers up tp 150+ this year. I hope to see as many of you there as possible
