  1. 8lb line or less, and spinners about size three and under, casting upstream and retrieving fast is the most successful technique for me. Tip: be very patient, keep casting for 10 - 15 minutes before changing spots.
  2. I use one rod for most of my fishing, a 12ft 1.5lb greys x-flite barbel. its two piece but the best rod ive ever used, theres also a quiver section and three quiver tips that come with it. I would recommend it to anyone who only wants to buy one rod.
  3. I regularly have a problem with a pitbull on my local water, i've seen it attacking other dogs round the area aswell. That breed especially should be kept on a lead at ALL times. usually make sure i've got something to fend it off with whenever i go there.
  4. I have a small lake local to me which in summer is great for carp, however after an hour or so when there is a large shoal in my swim, i cant get them on the bottom. has anyone got any tips for catching carp on the drop (float fishing).
  5. I find small trout pellets to be very effective, i usually lay a bed of pellets and fish single corn on size sixteen hook. i regularly float fish my local water like this and I've had numerous bream around five pound.
  6. Thanks guys, im gonna try those techniques soon as i can.
  7. Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have read on lots of sites and in almost every fishing book there is that if you want to collect worms therell be hundreds just lying on the grass at night, and all i have to do is put them in my bait box. However, after about five months of daily checks i never saw a single worm! Does anyone have any secrets of how to collect the things?
