Well, I 've been fishing since I was about 12 [ 35 now ] and I've never even seen a bailiff nevermind had my licence checked by one...I think hiring more of them might be a good idea !

Hi all, I'm about to buy a rod for general float fishing on canal/stillwaters, not specimen hunting really but looking to handle fish upto 8lb tops. These two are in my budget at the moment and are similarly priced Which would you prefer ?

I've just got back into fishing again after about 10 years away....and I'm building up my gear gradually for mainly float fishing on my local canal [ Calder and Hebble navigation ] I just bought a Mitchell 300XGE reel, and I really like it...but.. How do I remove the spool ? Mitchell's scant instructions don't show/tell you how
