  1. thanks for the info guys. i will take on board what has been said and let you know how it goes when i next go floating for carp. Lots of ideas. cnt wait to try them out
  2. nice one will try that been told about zig rigs before . and now again. there must be something good about them well will give it a go next time i go up there. going to a small pond tomorrow for some tench and bream
  3. I had a 6lb hook length. greased so it would float. the carp there were definately having the free offerings very readily. must have been something wring with my rig. I had Bubble float with roughly 2ft 6lb hook length , it was a size 14 carp hook. Was happy to have 2 but would have liked to have had more. maybe i buy some hemp oil and dunk my bait in that first then cast it in ? might work?

    Hi

Not new to forum but have been away for a while. i was just wondering why a post i submitted in coarse section didnt show when i posted it ?
  5. Anyone had any luck with floating baits with controller float. I recently went to one of my many local ponds and found that the carp are cruising in the top layer of the water. so i opted for floating bait. I only had 2 carp that day, one was a double figure but the other was about 8 lb. I was wondering what other people use as floating bait. i used flavoured dog biscuits soaked in water for 10 mins then left in fridge covered by cling film over night . this makes them nice and spongy, straight onto hook and they float for a long time, they dont seem to soak up alot of water and blow up also. Any comments would be nice
  6. i am fishing bait on an hair rig. fishing for carp mainly . but i will settle for anything that grabs my hook. might try fly fishing at a later date though. thanks for your reply m8
