Also do u make the rigs up and clip them on like you do sea fishing or just make the up on to the reel line?

Thank you for that like I said this is all completely new to me....with the rod license is there a limit on the number u use and do children need one

I've just got a new reel what size line do I need to put on and do I need shock leader line

Today went to the tackle shop and got a 10ft match/waggler rod told them what I wanted it for and told it would be fine

So I need a waggler rod ok I'll get one of them....how do I know if I'm fishing at the right depth....sorry to be asking really stupid stuff but this is all new to me... I Was about 12 last time I fished many many years ago.... Is there any good books that will help me or magazines but they all seem aimed at people who know what they are doing and not the complete novice

I live in Southampton so testwood lakes and broadlands lakes are right on my doorstep...

I've been given a couple of carp rods to start me off I'm not interested in big stuff yet I just want time to unwind and get the hang of things and enjoy myself so will these be ok to begin with?

Hi I've just taken up freshwater fishing and I really don't get all the different baits and tackle etc ie what baits are best different rod types etc I'm really lost! ...last time I went fishing was with bread..thanks for any help
