  1. Looking for a bit of advice. I had an engine built that cost a lot of money and after less than 1000 miles it blew up. The engine builder has the car and engine is putting it right, but this is where the problem arises. I have been phoning on a regular basis asking if it is done and he is saying paid work is taking priority or he is waiting for parts. The car has been with him now 2 months and he will not give me a timescale, saying he is fitting it in when and where he can. I was just wondering what my legal position is and what I can demand? I am getting really annoyed now as I think it could go on and on. My original purchase only took 6 weeks to build. Thanks Paul
  2. I am really going to try and attend this year. I have asked for the holiday at work so should be up for a trip to Wingham and enjoy the magic of the place.
  3. Tried putting some more photo's on, but it will not let me upload them like it used too and it would resize them automatically. Elton, pm me your email and I will send you a couple ofs picture the "beast" as I call it. God it is quick It is still not finished, I have a lot of things I want to do to it before it goes and gets painted.
  4. Could a mod resize the photo in my original post, please
  5. I shall not be attending even though I was certain of a place, so someone will be fortunate. I really would loved to have been able to fish but I have something that needs my full attention and cannot afford to waiver. Hopefully next year I will be there. I hope you all have a great time and enjoy fishing such a wonderfull place like Wingham.

  9. I have spent the last 2 of the 3years in the garage trying to recreate this. I am not too far off now and hopefully with the set back of smashing my wrist up and keeping me out the garage for just over a year it shall be hitting the road sometime this year.

    Jan Vail

I don't seem to come on here as much as I used too and have only just caught this. My sincere condolences to you and your family Newt.
  11. Many years ago I used to be up and down the canal towpaths on a bike. Secret was to only take what you needed, sometimes I didn't even take a chair of any sort, sat on a unhooking mat. A must is a spare inner tube, pump, punture repair kit and tools to take the wheels off with. I still ride with these items today aswell as a helmet now. At Coombe Abbey years ago there was guy who used to drive there and pull a bike and trailer out of his car and cycle to his peg, it is a good 20-30min walk to the end of the fishery.
