  5. I have for sale my S7000 complete with box, leads, manulas and cd. It also has 3 xd cards with it 16mb, 128mb and a brand new unused, still in original packaging 256mb, case, shutter release cable and I will throw in my Fuji 5v AC mains adaptor. Looking for £120 plus around £10 to post it special delivery with insurance. It is in very good condition and has spent most of it's time either in the case or the box.
  6. Seems like the fishing was quite good this year and congratulations to all who caught as it is not the easiest place in the world to catch. Well done to Tigger on that impressive tench. I know how hard Steve, Peggy and the bailiffs work on this event and my hat goes off to you all. Shame none of the big Bream showed their faces. Hopefully I will be there next year.
  7. Most of my fishing for Barbel is done with eyed hooks, size 4-12's. I do however use spade end hooks when using smaller hooks for Grayling, Chub etc.
  8. Wychwood are very good value, still have one now and use it now and again. I find them a little too stiff for my liking. You could look at the Korum twin tip, although that maybe a little over your budget. The Shimano is also good but again maybe a little over you budget. If you want to treat yourself then get an i-power £200+, might put you off though.
  9. Did not even put my name down this year, as I knew I would not get a place anyway with all the interst that was about. Would loved to have fished there again, maybe next year. Good luck to you all, and hope those who are fishing for the first time enjoy Wingham as much as I do.
  10. Either the Knotless knot or the palomar.

    Which 4x4

It is only for fishing really, not off-roading. Some places I fish you really do need a 4x4, especially in the winter months. Got a friend who deals in cars, so he has said he will keep an eye out for me. He also said that the jap 4x4's were the things to go for. I will not be buying a Land Rover of any kind.

    Which 4x4

Pajero sounds like it could be the thing then. I don't have to tow anything, so I don't need 3.5 v8. I was thinking 2.5 tops but would rather something around the 2.0 litre mark and must be diesel.
  13. Right, I am in the market for a 4x4, but which one! I only want to spend £3000 tops. Any ideas?
  14. That's it now Will, you had better take hooks, floats, rod, reel, landing net and bait cos he will have it off ya
  15. I spoke to the fishery earlier today and I have been warned about the condition of the track. Although it is passable with care, most of the pot holes have water in them and with more rain forecast between now and saturday they will all fill up. Some are very deep too and cars will bottom out in them, so be vary carefull. Also be carefull of where you park on the grass verges, especially at the top and bottom of the fishery. These are very wet and boggy and plenty of people have got stuck in the last couple of weeks. I was also warned that the Trout section is stricly no fishing and if you do get caught fishing it, you will be thrown off the fishery and banned from fishing there for life. Be carefull and have a good day.
  16. Rich, not really, but there is a big hut about 2/3rd's the way up the fishery, good spot to spot a deer or two aswell. Just remember this is in the no fishing section. Leon, Remember you are not allowed on the fishery until 9 o'clock.
  17. Kev, Tony is not going, he is away. Paul
  18. Most do meet at Asda for breakfast, I certainly will. Please note that you are not allowed on the fishery before 9 o'clock.
  19. Yes, very sad indeed. This was the only publication I bought on a regular basis with it being locally orientated.
  20. No worms allowed, no keepnets, barbed hooks are o.k, no fly fishing, no spinners and no lures to be used.
  21. Good luck to you all, I will be out brushing up on my trotting skills for next week.
  22. Not much rain around for the next few weeks so we should have decent day, weather wise. I just hope that is not too warm as the Trout can be a nuisance when it is colder. Looking forward to this now.
  23. I am only 10 minutes away from Dave's Pool, but have never fished it. I do know a few people who do and they always catch. Mainly silvers and small carp but the odd big one does turn up. It is full of silver fish, and a pleasant enough place to fish.
  24. As Chris says, Grayling and coloured water don't go together but like Chris my PB of 2.10 came on a coloured river. Admittedly the colour was dropping out of it and i was not too confident on seeing the river but that day I managed 3 fish over the 2lb mark.
