1. Some good points raised guys , i didnt want Pike eating all the fish , i had perch as suggested by the experts . as i was guided , i knew nothing about lakes in them days , just how to fish them The mystery batch was verified by third party but i told them its important i dont know , and still i dont know .. so trust was there but put yourself in my seat .. If i knew there was 2 Carp at say 5lb only and 12 Roach and 2 tench etc etc then when fishing and i catch 2 Carp at 5lbs 12 Roach and 2 Tench then i would know and fishing it would be pointless wouldnt it ? If that makes sense . ? Like i say until it gets fished aggressively i just wont know whats in the thing . and if there is only 12 Roach and 2 Tench then there will be bloodshed at a Fishery Suppliers and you will read it on the headlines in Angling Times ie" Fish Supplier Found with Fish tail wedged up posterior " headlines
2. Thanks for that guys , and i had googled it but they make it all so technical . Was hoping for a sort of " they grow 1" a year sort of thing " but i got a little idea now .. ta
3. Anyone have any idea what the size and growth rate is in fish ? ie; Roach growth rates per year tench growth rates per year carp etc etc Anyone know ? or anyone know how to find the info out ? Just wondering if say a Roach was like 20 years old what size could it get to etc etc.. I heard it depends on size of water and stuff but just cant seem to find much about it .. sorry its such a tough question
4. I used to go down to White acres every year until i got fed up with getting soaked , every time it poured down with rain That and the old Manager who was a mate of my mates left or was pushed rather when they went into new ownership . that was about 5 years ago . dont know if its changed much . being honest . it was always to busy for me being honest , struggle to find a decent swim etc , as it has more people than spaces If Clint is still doing the fishing side tell him Big Pete from kent says Hi He is a diamond geezer he will put you on the fish if you ask him ..assuming you do go of course Its a good place for general fishing never tried for the big stuff . google the website , that will tell you more
5. yep i guess you did ok you was spot on also
6. I didnt want them eating all the fish letting a Pike in there at the same time he would just eat all my money up wouldnt he .. Hi Steve Yours is a proper Fishery , mines only a puddle compared with your place
7. I am sure the fish get used to the tractors , i run a big tractor with the cutters down the field and all round the lake and normally whack a load of feed in for them every time during the summer .spend a little time watching them stuff there faces . They have got to the point that soon as i arrive you can see loads of fish scanning the surface they know its bumper feed time Not sure if its vibration or the noise ? but they defo know i am on the way .. Never the same if i take the car or van down but the tractor and the cutters , every time . Could be the tractor in your case spooked them or could just be coincidence . maybe they have been spooked at the same as a tractor went by in the past and so they associate it with danger maybe ? Funny things fish sometimes thick as muck other times clever things . I sat one evening floating bread stalking this one fair sized Carp . time after time after time ,the bugger approached the bread from the side and kept nudging the bread til it fell sneaky git .. so they arent silly once they get older .
8. Damn thats funny an old thread but brilliant .
9. I agree on the Carp over taking a water , and that was something years ago i didnt want to occur , many a times i have been to a fishery and just got carp after carp when trying for a mix.. Maybe the carp have taken over in the lake being honest i wouldnt know havent fished it in a long time last time i did it had a good mix .. Ok thanks for that Budgie appreciate the honesty . am i out of touch at £ 10 for a lake thats brimmed with with a host of natural unknown sized fish ? remember the original small pond was like 30 years old . Thanks i think thats a compliment probably isnt but will warn you next time i am posting
10. Pretty even i reckon i have had Carp at 12ibs that just felt like pulling in a clump of weed , likewise Pike .. and had some that rip the rod from your hands , depends on there moods i reckon , maybe there females i been catching LOL
11.

I would ring the Company and ask them is it ok for you to tap it down on the carpet or what they recommend !! Or its being returned . then its at there risk so to speak .. cover yourself ..
12. Budgie has it spot on.. depends on conditions etc..
13. I wonder how he got on ? Hate that when they say will let you know and then they dont
