  1. """"""Where wouldst thee have me go for an unbiased news feed? I always have room for another bookmark."""""" CORY, turning this into a positive is tough. For a long time I've been meaning to post this "suggestion" With The Associated Press I find close to zero opinion bias and reasonably clear news journalism. Wall Street Journal - (financial news) [plenty of opinions but about equal Amount of black space to all sides] Reuters Nothing more than I like them and feel as though what I read is unbiased NEWS and the news they publish is trustworthy Phone
  2. Chesters 1 The Kurds have an autonomous state in what was Iraq and another slice in Iran. Syria was willing to do something similar but the Turks said - no. I believe there is an unresolved declaration of war between the Kurds and OTTOMAN Empire dated in the 8th century. The Kurds will NEVER get a cohesive state. They hate each other. PHONE
  3. All, The actor who did Mark Twain imitation (that's all I know - someone else finish it) Phone
  4. All, OOPS ! It now appears we "forgot" our undocumented immigrants make up a substantial portion (as high as 22% out west) of entry level healthcare workers. ALAS, we can't seem to identify them so they may get Covid 19 vaccinations. What a great country Phone
  5. COD, 13th June 2016 The results of a Road Haulage Association (RHA) survey released today show a clear majority of members believe that leaving the European Union (EU) would be in the best interests of their companies. (61%) pHONE
  6. All, THEY, the general population of the world, better start catching on. There's a better than even chance the could get serious. But we do have some lovely air now Phone
  7. HUGE, THANKS, I didn't look up my date - my bad. But Turks - real Turks are IMO not a major threat to the UK. TURKEY officially named the Kurdish population "Mountain Turks" They have been a problem since they have no nation state of their own Really a silly non-problem Phone
  8. Martin, I've been told all my taste is in my mouth Phone
  9. COD, JUST AN FYI. The term "Turks" in the media means they came from TURKEY. They, the hordes, are not TURKISH nationals but rather refuges who have escaped detainment in Turkey and are from somewhere else in the middle east or north Africa. Turkey has played this "gateway" role since the heights of the OTTOMAN empire. Phone
  10. CHESTERS1, You are correct in spite of Clod objections. An example, Turkey is home to over 2.2 million SYRIAN refugees, 1 million of working age. Only 4,000 have been granted a work permit since 2011. Turkey has been rightly praised for accepting far more Syrian refugees than the whole of Europe, and spending $8.5 billion on their welfare. Turkey is accustomed to sorting out refugees throughout history. Another tidbit - 900,000 muslim Greeks have dropped in. Except they have a nasty habit of self interest they indeed are easy business partners. They just lie a lot - but he11 they learned from the 1st world nations. Phone (lets not be making a habit of agreeing, I have a reputation to be maintained)
  11. Chesters1, In fact, I whole heartedly agree with your contention capital punishment should be a public affair. Equally, for lesser crimes I can envision public participation. There is no question, the punishment must equal to or exceed the crime in terms of hardship. As for the bodies. Unfortunately these are not poor louts like us who can be ignored. When they get to it a "funeral" is, on average about a $12,000 shindig and families are standing in line to "pay their respects". Each trailer is worth a hundred grand or more and is recyclable. Phone
  12. All Perspective (cut and paste) - Spanning 1,400 acres and eight venues, Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary in Southern California is the biggest cemetery in North America. They have 20 - 30 refrigerated trailers of bodies to be buried Phone
  13. Martin, No offence intended - to each his own. For me a cat in heat would make a perfect duet Phone

  15. CHESTERS1, I'm probably mistaken - Turkey applied to the EU in like 2000 and the discussions have been ongoing since then pHONE
  16. Chesters1 I cannot understand why you prefer thumping someone to death. No doubt you have a culture problem. Surely it must just slip your mind that we are blessed with 300,000,000 guns. Far more efficient than your archaic (sp - real old) method
  17. HUGE,.. I, unbeknownst to me, was on the "ohh my god" critical level. I believe but don't know for sure, the distribution and shots are 100% government socialist plans. Either way I am fully insured. I was guided holding hands with hospital staff all working paid overtime (perhaps 200 of them). There was no distribution plan for the vaccine set up by the Trump administration and the disease was raging on 6 January transition day. Distribution is a disaster - we've thrown away more doses than the UK has administered. Essentially the plan was the FEDERAL government deliver to the STATES health services. SO now we have 51 cluster - f_cks instead of just one. In this case I, for the most part, will cut the politicians a little slack. I guess this is why we just purchased another 200,000,000 doses. Probably means "tough titty" for the third world. Less than a proud moment considering we are about to pass 500,000 DEATHS. Far more concern by government forces than any concern by the mass of idiots called American
  18. WOTNOB, I swiped it from a kid in a wheelchair phone
  19. All, CURIOUS? - Why does a single person in the UK give a dam what Turkey and the EU do Phone
  20. COD, Here ya' go - - - - PRESIDENT Biden doesn't trust this guy because of his ties to Trump. Thought you might have a casual comment on your guys trustworthiness. Phone
  21. All. This was taken the same day. I don't have a name for it There's a short story to go with both frost pictures. I took a million pictures with this camera. A Minolta MD.(circa 1970). It was "fully automatic" in a clunky way. It required lenses specific to the model (I still have fisheye, 23, 55, 1?? [portrait lens], and a 100 - 500 zoom. I can't tell you lens or settings but looks like maybe macro. The zoom is a ridiculous f9 and maybe have half dozen pictures and they are shaky. This is where i found this other frost - with this camera bag
  22. All, Up for my first jab 900 am Sunday. Phone
  23. Martin, Whatever it means it's gonna start Feb 7 Phone don't bet the farm
  24. All, I also wanted Chesters1 to notice. XL is it - if you are bigger than that you have no business out in the cold Phone
