Thanks There were a few things I did'nt know there especially about the bait and the safety is essential. But I would be greatful if anyone can give me some good marks as we dont know any of the lake

A friend and I have been invited to use a chalet which is on the banks of Windemere at Whitecross Bay. We have got access to use a dingy for the duration of our weekend there, so we fancy a spot of piking. We are not familiar with the lake so we need tips on fishing from boats, safety and where to fish. I would hope that the dingy in question comes with some kind of engine. Can enyone help?

Thanks lads for the reply's but I like to keep a good stock for when I go to Ireland and elsewhere. Don't you find it miffing that you can only get 10's and 25's now. Once of a day you could get as many as you liked(at a reasonable price)

I can't buy any hooks for course fishing by the hundred at any of my local shops. I find this most annoying. I particularly like kamasan hooks can anyone help?

Have a look at the two books that I recomended to Doug Duval on the message befor you entitled "hello from America" they are right at the end.

Doug If it's books your after then I can recomend two which you can get hold of. In no particular order 1st is "Matching the Hatch" by Pat O'Reilly on Swan Hill press. The other is John Goddard's Waterside Guide on Collins Willow. Hope these may help.

Can anyone help me? I've just got some new Barbor chest waders, and I've got a hole in the sole of one of the rubber boots. I work for Michelin tyres and my mates and I have tried all sorts of things to fix them but nothing we have will stick to them. Is there anyone who knows how to fix them?
