...update. I have just received my SPEEDIA (from ebay) looks good and seems to spin well. Loaded it with 4lb line. Can't wait to try it out oh yeah, not sure what I'll catch yet either. (remeber I'm still a beginner)

I know it's quite common, but I was very surprised to catch a 5lb Carp whilst fly fishing for trout.

Hello, I'm a 46 year old mother of 2 lively boys. I mainly fly fish for trout on both still water and rivers (when I can). Both my boys (especially the 8 year old) enjoy fishing, hence me joining this forum - for tips and advice.
