  6. glendarroch loch Hi the link above wich i hope works first time i've tried this,is couple of pics of the loch and my brother with a wee tench. We got there early morning got set up, in my excitement of fishing a new loch I forgot to put the line through the bale arm luckily i remembered a tip from this forum about taking the spool off (thanks). The loch itself is almost completely covered in lillies with small swims cut out and casting is a bit tight as its surrounded by trees.we set about fishing catching small roach straight away then my brother caught a small tench ,then steve a friend of my brothers caught a small bream followed by another. At the end of the day between us we had about 60 small roach, three tench to about 2lb,three bream to about 1and a half pound and a small perch. All in all a good day .Although my brother wasn't very happy he didn't catch any carp i'm afraid he has been commercialised he said he'd only go back if they cleared the lillies and cut back the trees.I fear that nothing can be done for him poor boy . Your story certainly took me back about 30 yrs im 42 now.My friends and i used to meet up with our bikes our dads old rods, scrounged tackle. We never caught a lot (mostly small roach)but we enjoyed ourselves and every fish was a bonus. It was just being there and the anticipation of getting that big fish.(we never did)
