Thanks for that Budgie, the problem i have is that the pole i bought only came with 2 spare top 2's. i fitted a ptfe bush for size 12 elastic and it pushed straight onto the number 2 section without cutting it back so i've had to thread the elastic through the 3rd section as well meaning to change elastic i've got to disconnect it all and start again. If the pole was sold as a power pole, should it have come with a bigger tip section or with spare top 3's. I'm going to have to buy two no. 3 sections if i can. I'm kinda hoping i was misslead and get the seller to supply them for nothing. The number 1 section is so skinny i doubt if you could fit a ptfe bush in it.

Hi. Can somebody please help me with a question on pole elastics. I have just purchased a pole with a rating up to number 16 elastic. What is the minimum strengh elasticic i can use on a strong pole like this. I would have thought 10 maybe but i'm new to pole fishing. Thanks to whoever answers. Alfie
