Nice write up Chris. It's still early doors yet, next time you may well get a net full.
Brown crumbs a good binder for your bits of freebies (ground bait) and it's cheap enough. Try your red/ white maggots on the hook with your corn n'all Chris, them tincas like a cocktail LOL.
Good luck m8 !

Blimey, I've only just noticed your blogs still going strong, I thought you'd jacked it in ! I've had a quick read though the reports I hadn't seen and am very impressed, some lovely fish and great pic's of them and the surroundings. Brilliant Chris keep it up m8 I always like reading about your outings . Oh... put that shadowlander where it belongs.....dusty bin , it doesn't suite you

I'll echo FT.....all fine except for the title...is it that you may not get out to wet a line again this year ?

Great little session again Chris, well done Mr !
-
Great read as usual Chris, lovely looking place isn't it !

It won't take too much tempting to get me down your neck of the woods for a spot of trotting Chris....I look forward to it !

Chris, what a great write up on the weekends events ! I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to meet you at long last .....a true gent indeed.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hopefully we'll do some more fishing in future.
Tight Lines

The chub usually have a good run or two then just seem to give up and then the only fight is dragging them open mouthed against the current to the net but the barbel on the other hand usually keeps on fighting to the bitter end. I think they must just have more brute strength and stamina than old rough chops !
I've found chub seem to give a better account of themselves in still water and the nearer the rod tip the better they seem to go.

Don't those small barb's fight above their weight !
Well done on some well deserved fish and another good write up.

Great days fishin, that last chub looks like a corker, well done Mr !

Sounds like you could do with a fixed spool reel and waggler float to get at those chub and barbel under the tree. I don't suffer from hooklengths breaking with 6lb sensor straight through

Hey chris, I've only just noticed your blogg. Doesn't that reel look smart ! I very often pop into Chris Plumbs blogg for a nosey and very much enjoy it ! I think I'm gonna enjoy reading yours also from now on...keep it up m8 !!
cheers
Ian.
