  1. Nice write up Chris. It's still early doors yet, next time you may well get a net full.

Brown crumbs a good binder for your bits of freebies (ground bait) and it's cheap enough. Try your red/ white maggots on the hook with your corn n'all Chris, them tincas like a cocktail LOL.

    Good luck m8 !

  2. Blimey, I've only just noticed your blogs still going strong, I thought you'd jacked it in ! I've had a quick read though the reports I hadn't seen and am very impressed, some lovely fish and great pic's of them and the surroundings. Brilliant Chris keep it up m8 I always like reading about your outings . Oh... put that shadowlander where it belongs.....dusty bin , it doesn't suite you :)

  3. Chris, what a great write up on the weekends events ! I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to meet you at long last .....a true gent indeed.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hopefully we'll do some more fishing in future.

    Tight Lines

    cheers Ian.

  4. The chub usually have a good run or two then just seem to give up and then the only fight is dragging them open mouthed against the current to the net but the barbel on the other hand usually keeps on fighting to the bitter end. I think they must just have more brute strength and stamina than old rough chops !

I've found chub seem to give a better account of themselves in still water and the nearer the rod tip the better they seem to go.
