Recently i had possibly onee of the worst days out iv had and i want to hear some of your stories for bad days out. Mine started out fairly bad because it took me so long to tie up all my rigs so it took longer to cast out, then as the day wore on without a bite it was around 2.00pm and the owner/bailiff came round to see my ticket so as i was talking to him about the fishing and such i realised my rod was roaring off and i had a bite, so i struck and i realise that the fish pulls off after a few seconds, then wen i pull in my line the guy goes 'yep, there was definetely a fish on there'. well i thought it was obvious. then to top off the day, i got stuck in a tree with my float rig and as i cast out for the final time my whole rig just snapped off and flew into the water. that was possibly my worst days fishing ever so far. so what are yours? tight lines

Hi, thinking of starting match fishing in April at a local fishery with carp and tench roach etc. Idont have a pole and dont really intend to buy one just yet although i know that it is the best method for match fishing. Im not being ignorant to advice i just want to see how the match fishing goes and see if im best suited to it before i go on and buy to poles and such. i dont want to start with the pole then realise that i cant match fish. so does anyone have any tips, rigs, baits, methods that i could use. any feedback is great thx.

hi, i might sound a tad stupid asking this but still u gotta ask to find out, are quiver tip rods and feeder rods practically the same thing. do they both use quiver tips?

I know that fish that are being caught to be eaten have certain regulations on the size of them when you take them, but what are the size regulations for mackeral if any thnk u in advance.

Hi, For feeder fishing and such involving quiver tips do i HAVE to buy a special quiver rod or can i just buy some quiver tips and they will fit on my other rod.

Really i just wanna build it so that i can say that i have? probs wont use it much and if i do itll only be for small fish probably.

Helloooo, Im going to Cornwall in the summer (July or August) am thinkin of doin a spot of mackeral fishing off the rocks or the piers, but iv got a few questions like: Should i get a new rod and reel for it or will my normal course rod be ok? What Should i use to catch, Feathers, spinners or bait? If bait, then what bait? And how far out should i fish like really far or just into a bay somewhere, or close in? Thnx in advance for any feedback.
