  1. I fish Somerton Viaduct every now and then, my last session was quite a few months ago though, but i can guarantee you you will catch, there are big carp up to about 30 1b i think, big bream, as well as perch and roach etc etc (Also some eels that arent too bad). If you can get there i would definitely recommend it, it also has its own tackle shop (a bit pricy mind) but ok for the basics like maggots and a pack of crisps Try pellets or maggots crammed on to a size 16 hook Good luck there
  2. Where on earth did you catch fish like that? They are massive! What bait were you using?????
  3. How do you use sink chains as a bobbin? Sounds interesting...
  4. Find a rocky place and if you have some mackerel feathers use them, add some weight for long casting if need be. Hope this helps
  5. Umm i mainly fish lakes and estate ponds for roach, i normally use a size 16 hook and fish near to reeds and lilies. I don't fish for carp on my pole (not saying i'd complain if one took the bait) so i suppose i barely fish for fish over a pound. I thought that as the weather is getting a bit warmer it might be a good idea to have stronger stuff on, but to be honest, i'm no expert so im just wondering if i have the right size line for my type of fishing, last thing i want to do is scare the fish off as i don't catch a great deal anyway. Thanks for the help
  6. I am being serious, it does work hahaha
  7. what do you mean who is it hahaha? I am being serious, blu-tack really does work
  8. What are the bite alarms for 8.99 like? Has anyone tried them? I thought you couldn't really go wrong with a bite alarm for that price, and i've never fished with one before so im looking forward to trying it out (if theres any left in stock that i can get my hands on) Cheers http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/SID-FC1.../index_9120.htm
  9. I have found blu-tack works well as its heavy enough to not be effected by the wind too much, its also cheap and can be taken off your line at any time. Hope this helps (sorry if it doesn't, im new to ANGLERS NET)
