Sorry you feel misled Mythbuster but I never claimed to be making these by hand in the UK, I also find it strange that you only have two posts on this entire forum and both are in this thread. To clarify, These are designed in Edinburgh, Scotland and made in China. I am very happy that so many people on here have contributed their opinions. I am glad I asked on here because I got a bunch of information from experianced anglers who gave advice with good intentions. I understand many anglers in the UK want British made products but if I had a factory making them here for a small niche market in the fishing industry I would have to sell these reels at around the same price as the DAM ROBO which normally go for around £150. I would love to be able to make these in the UK and sell them at these prices but since BFR (British Fly Reels) shut down and moved to china I dont know of anywhere that could make these reels here. Anyone who buys one of these at only £29.99 is getting a good lightweight reel at a fair price - thats my goal. Apart from these the only ones I have seen that are close (quality and performance wise) are over £100. We have quite a few phone calls so here is the information on future models: I am going to keep the current model going but the range will eventually be: Zen Master (Gold, Blue and Silver) Zen Master Pro (Ball bearings, adjustable handle and a line guard if I can manage it, this is still in the drawing board stages) Zen Master Classic (old school style Centre Pin. Backplate, drag system, removable line guard and anything else I can get on it) The Zen Master Pro is a good few months away. I hope to have it out there by Christmas but I am pushing to get it done as soon as possible. This is assuming all goes well with the prototypes etc. Thanks, Marc Heath, Edinburgh, Scotland

Also, I am looking into getting reel pouches done but the reels fit perfictly into the box leaving to room so I would have to do them seperate or lose the box altogether. I only see oe at a time now. I need a bigger tank before I put any more in. More bloody expenses.

I would offer discount on the current model but that would be unfair on the people who already bought them. Also, after designing, manufacturing, buying oarts and shipping about the place for a small batch I have very little room to move on. I will make the Pro models good and then offer any contributors to my ideas a fair deal.

I got two good sizes clown loaches to help with a snail problem but I only see one every now and then. Its a small 20l tand with a hollow log and a small cave (stacked stones with a small hole) and I never see them. Do they really hide this much or do I have twlight zone tank?

Hey, Welcom. I am new here myself. I would assume your local tourist board or tackle shop will pint you in the right direction. Working in a tackle shop myself I would eith suggest a club that could help or the tourits board as its their full time jobs to answer your local activity questions.

Thanks guys, I cant explain how the information so far has helped. Its the opinions that count for more than anything. I will give a pro model to any member interested at the best discount I can manage (eg, no profit as payment for information). In the mean time. I still think my current model is amazing for £29.99 and would like it reviewed on this website if possible. Sorry, its great for psoitive feedback in the forums but I mean in the actual review section of anglers net. Who do I contact for this? I want the brand Zen Master to mean high quality at amazing prices and to even outmatch the okuma's in that way. _____________________________________________ On a side note, I was talking to a Canadian retailer (a lot of our reels go out that way) who was considering stocking them. he said: My reel = around $45 CAD!!!! I did my years at college in business and there were the 4p's - Product, Price, Promotion, Place I go the the other side of the world and still cant get it right. I need help in getting people to see my reels for what they are. I remember a member saying he bought 3 of them. I hope he comes on and says his honest opinion. (by the way "Art of Zen" = Fishing) I started out here for research to see what "Pin-Heads" and "Tackle Tarts" want but now I am liking the look of this place. I am pretty much a Float Fisher who likes to use a centre pin but I also work in a tackle shop and have done for years so I have seen anything you have to throw at me. If anything an angler says on here surprises me I will be VERY (insert different wor for surprised). Also, if anyone can point me to the person who does product reviews fro this site I would be gratefull! Thanks folks,

Most of my posts are not coming up. Could there be a reason for this? I gave a link in a very long winded post to a certain auction site and I am wondering if thats why it got blocked or if thats why its gone to checking or something. Its for a DAM ROBO going for a small fortune with 6 days to go. Crazy IMO. I was also giving thanks etc for comments and was answering questions and responding to comments. Can thise posts be brought back from the abyss (sp?)? This is assuming this post makes it through. Also, if you guys have a local tackle shop that might want to stock these reel please either give them my details, or give me theirs (mention it to them first please). This way you guys can see them if nothing else. I will even supply shops low volume because with the low weight postage is very low.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Something I noticed is the crazy prices of Centre Pin Reels. The likes of the dam ROBO reel like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Its already at £100 with 6 days left! I think thats crazy and I think £30 range is what people should be paying for a good centre pin and up-to £60 for a very good reel. Around £300+ for a reel, £200 for a spare spool and £50 fora line guard is just insane imho. The next batch of the Zen Master will have a smaller knob on the back (i know, my knob is too big ) and I will keep that model going. The Zen Master Pro will still be simple but will have ball bearings, and steel handle (maybe) and I might add a side casting seat if it dosent add too much to the weight. I want these to be known as good reels at great prices. The picture of the reel I have attached retails at around $500 in the states. Crazy IMO. I also wanted to say that all opinions on here (as varied as they are) will all be considered when designing the Pro model. Any posters on here can get a discount when they are available if they want to buy one. I will keep checking in, and thanks again. I feel like I have come to the right place.
