  1. hi i actually looked at the same 2 poles a week back and even tho the maver feels better to me it only having one top kit is a bit of a problem and i dont know how easy the spare parts are to get if you do want anpther top kit or cupping kit ect.. best thing to do about the middy white knuckle is get it out at full lenght in the shop and hold it for a few mins to test the weight ofit .. i always do that before i buy a pole ... but the middy has 2 top kits which is a bonus but you dont really need more then 2 kits if your jus pleasure fishing .. if you can get anbother top kit for the maver i would get that instead of the middy .. hope ive helped rich ( breamboi)
  2. hi ... i was at a water a few months back called farlows lake located ion west drayton , middlesex and its full of bream there .. i caught about 60lb of bream in 5hours smallest being 3lb to 7lb .. i use a free running cage feeder with a 12'' hook lenght with 2 peices of corn haired to a size 12 hook .. that catches me loads of bream . but ive also caught them on pellets and boilies but corn has been the most sucessful for me.. i aint caught a double figure bream yet even tho that lakes has a 19lb bream init .. hope ive helped with my little info on the subject

  5. hi im entering my first match on the pole at woodlane fishery in iver in march 2011 and was wondering if anyone has any tips as i only been fishing about 7 months on the pole and would like some advice about fishing the lake or what baits would be good to use ..
  6. hi dan .. i fyou havnt got a feeder rod yet .. i would suggest getting an extra £10-£15 anf get a maver abyss feeder rod there really light in weight and have 3 interchangable tips.. also cork handle and its 12ft ... good rod i just got one aswell as the garbolino carp rocket feeder which i bought for £34.99 thats also another option you could go for also a nice rod .

  8. hi mate , yeah there the ones i got . i got some sonubaits groundbait aswell .. i will get some pellets and give it a try as im fishing this afternoon after work and possibly stay the night as i aint night fished in a while ... p.s what type of pellets should i use ??

Hi im a new member at a fishing lake but been fishing for a couple years now and i have been feeder fishing now for about a month or so and only been using cage feeders as i been fishing on shallow waters .. i went out yeterday and bought a couple preston method feeders .. so any tips on what baits or equipment to use would be helpful .. thanks
  10. i always buy a rod lisence but i havnt been asked for one for a long time .. i fish the canal alot and alot of commercial waters i go fishing atleast 3-4 times a week if not more n i dont get asked for one .. someones not doing their jobs properly

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any tips on fishing this lake as im a new member.. i been there 3 times and caught 5-6 carp rangeing from 3-8lbs i know the bigger ones of over 20lbs are here but its hard finding them .. and ideas on what baits to use .. o what method would be best .. i been fishing method feeder on a garbolino feeder rod ..

  14. yeah i got some proper gear fopr pike fishing but jus fancied pole fishing that day .. was an unexpected guest lol
  15. i thought a size 20 was qite a small hook the orms i had was lobs which were a bit big for the hook i was useing lol .. i wasnt really expecting to catch anything like that but was really good that i did ..
