  1. Soon we will all be signing agreements on entering a fishery that the fishery is not liable for any accidents! I'm more angry at the judge. We expect idiots to make claims but the judge is supposed to have the common sense to deal with it properly.
  2. I'm self employed and have a lot of spare time on my hands so I could possibly fish any time of the week. Any lake would be quiet during the week 6am-3pm i'm sure so I think I will give it a go. Thanks Rob, hopefully I will be already fishing by then I'm not a fan of Newsham, I fished that many years ago when I was a lad and it was quite rough. God some pike out of the old lake though. Seen a guy pull out a 15-20lb carp right in the middle when it was icey. I found a very very close lake in a secluded area on Google maps. It is a bike ride away from me but I have no idea what it is called or who runs it. Do you have any idea? It is on Naylors Road, near Hope School. Open google maps http://maps.google.co.uk/ 53.39765,-2.847714 Put those coordinates into the search, use satellite view . I had a look on street view, it is nicely fenced off and I can see pegs on the Satellite view. This could be a greta place I can reach if I know who owns it or what it is called.
  3. Sorry for my typing mistakes. Anyone know what this lake is called? I can't find anything out about it for the life of me. It is quite close to Halsnead. Put these numbers into Google maps and you'll see it. 53.367386,-2.816019 http://maps.google.co.uk/
  4. I've been reading some horror stories about Halsnead Park and the gangs of youths there. But there are three lakes, one by a football pitch, a small lake near by and then the large lake by the caravan site which is pay only. Has anyone else had experiences with the lake by the caravan site? Is it rough on that lake with youths and scallys? Or is it just the other 2 lakes which are free to fish? This is a general overview of it, http://www.wirralseafishing.co.uk/forum/ph...pic.php?t=12192 I don't have a car or anyone to fish with so my idea was to go alone by trying tog et a life of maybe a taxi or something. But if it is rough as a dog's arse then obviously i'm not going alone
  5. I also looked at a few clubs and contacted the Magull club but judging by the response unless I have a car it is a no unfortunately. I've got loads of gear of my Dads. He spent a lot of money on it so i'm just cleaning it all up now and seeing what I need and don't need. What's the best website to buy tackle from? I used to live right next to Taskers intersport but they're quite expensive in there so thought i'd try online.
  6. I just checked Halsnead Park out on Google maps and i'm very close. The other side of the M62. I still don't have a Car so getting there would be a pain on foot. I don't mind paying for a taxi but it would have to be a seven seater taxi van, do you think that would be ok? I like the look of Halsnead. I prefer commercials because it they are quiet and usually well stocked. Thanks for the info. Where's the best place for me to buy new tackle online?
  7. Alright lads! New member to the forum here. I’m in the Liverpool area very close to Belle Vale shopping centre in Gateacre. I haven’t been fishing since my dad passed away around 8 years ago but I still have a lot of gear. I’m 24 now. I am very interested in going fishing weekly however my problem is I don’t have a fishing partner or a car. Looking for people to go fishing with regularly. Also, this probably sounds stupid but if you don't have a car, how do you get to commercial fisheries? I'd even pay a taxi if it meant I got to the lake and back but I don't think that's doable! Anyway, can't wait to go now. Cleaning up all my gear. Can anyone name me some good fisheries around liverpool way? Is Calderstones Park any good? My favorite is definitely Bannister Farm, been there quite a few times on my own since my dad died when I was younger and had some big carp out of there. Also fell in the lake. Tried Lathom fisheries but as people say, it's a bit small. I'm mostly interested in going to commercial fisheries where you won't get your gear robbed or be pestered by kids. thanks fellas.
