  1. I'll put it so that it just under the swivel so it can't go anywhere. Thanks for all the help! I will be staying on these forums as you guys seems really helpful and a great community. Will make sure to let you all know how I get on and of course will post plenty of photos
  2. So how about a rubber bung for a glass beaker?
  3. Order some 0.9mm mono just incase, as you said. Now, going back to the bait being ejected... https://youtu.be/lRVc1meGraE Any good?
  4. I was thinking of putting a wire trace on the end just for safety. Wanted to use 200lb braid main line and 300lb braid leader. I will order thick mono just incase. I think I will go for the Squall in the end after seeing a video on youtube of a 13ft shark being caught on one! Haha. And I am not planning to come back, getting married to my fiancee over there so will hopefully have plenty of time to gain experience catching the big ones! Haha
  5. I will be fishing strictly in Brazil, for Piraíba and Red tail. Will be wanting to use a leader of 300lb 8 core braid with a 300lb wire leader. Just not sure if to go for 200 or 250 main line. Will the Penn Squall 60LDLH be good for the job?
  6. I will mostly be using it for big catfish as fishing for Marlin will be a one and again sort of trip. I was looking at Penn Squall 60 LH, can get one delivered from Germany for around £115. If that is sufficient, what braid size would you recommend?
  7. Morning. I need some advice regarding as to which multiplier reel to buy. I will be visiting Brazil and looking to fish anything from Goliath Catfish to Marlin, Dourado. I already have a rod for up to 250lbs. I currently own a Abu Garcia 7001 but looking for something to take a decent amount of 0.9 to 1mm braid. I also need a LEFT HAND model reel. Could anyone be of some advice. Also, prefferably wouldn't want to go MUCH over the £100-£150 threshold. Thank you
