    Got Baits

Has anyone tried Got Baits Atomic Range?
  2. I've just had a look and can't find the maggots on the site. I have brought the Krilled maggots from the fishingbaits.biz web site I've just posted about as I'm trying to find the green jpz. Anyway, I have caught a good head of Tench on 6mm Marukyu JPZ and I've had a few on Krilled maggots. You can quite easily make your own or the web site I mentioned sells the ready made as well as the JPZ pellets. The site actually has a few fishing guides. I'm sure if you have a sniff around it some of the other Marukyu baits they stock will be good for targeting tench. I've usually caught Tench in the margins at about 3/4ft deep while doing what I can to hide my pole, with Marukyu's EFG131 as groundbait from a small pole cup every 5 mins in summer. The Marukyu baits are pretty popular these days, so a tackle shop will most likely stock it but the fishingbaitbiz web site I mention does next day delivery. I'd be ordering a bit more than a pint of maggots though to make the most out of the price for delivery! Can't seem to find these green JPZ though which I'm sure are on the market. Anyway take a look http://FishingBaits.biz
  3. Has anyone seen if the green JPZ from Marukyu are on the market yet. I've been buying Marukyu baits here http://fishingbaits.biz and they usually have all of the range in stock. They have said the green ones are not available yet, but I'm sure I've seen someone with them. Has anyone else seen them available anywhere?

  5. Krilled maggots did it again for me yesterday. I went through 4 pints of the buggers with some Krill additive in my low food value groundbait. It has been a while since I've been out, but other people on the water were asking me what I was using, which is a first for me. I'm not that good really. Load of Roach and perch, crucians also came and went at various periods. I am out again today to see if they work again. Hot flask at the ready!!!
  6. Erm...wotnotbivy, I think if you add it up, you'll get £33.93 for the bait only. EFG130 £6.99 EFG121 £3.99 EFG100 £3.99 SDP2006 £3.99 SDP2101 £3.99 SDP2210 £3.99 AFP300 £6.99 Total for the bait £33.93 I then did a google search for the price of the flexible bucket and got £6.58 That adds up to £40.51 which is there or there abouts with what they say on the site. At their discounted price of £29.99 I thought it was a bargain Christmas present. You did make me panic a little though as I'd told my wife to order one! These are the pages I looked at to get my figures???????? http://fishingbaits.biz/special-offers/Mar...et-Deal_59.html (flicking through the products got me to the actual bait prices) http://www.bigredtoolbox.co.uk/draper-4910...le-bucket-black. (bucket here) Jeez, I must have OCD or something....looking forward to unwrapping it. :-)
  7. A good one for the angler that already has everything is a bait package. http://fishingbaits.biz has one that i've asked my wife to look at http://fishingbaits.biz/special-offers.html
  8. Just found and had another really good read on the fishingbaits.biz site. There is an interview with Roy Marlow talking about winter fishing and baits, more so it give you a bit about his credentials which I never knew. As I've been buying my bait from there, each time I go back, there seems to be more articles and info on the site. Some of you might say it's stuff you already know, but for me it's been really useful in fact a good read. This particular article is here http://fishingbaits.biz/news/the-winter-wonder-of-baits/.
  9. I like football...and fishing, problem is, you can't do both at the same time!
  10. There are different types of groundbait for different temperatures, like there are for all baits. Low protein or low food value Groundbaits are best in low temperatures. Pick a high protein bait or groundbait in low temperatures and there is a risk you can turn the fish off from feeding as it doesn't match their digestion system. I am known for being a Marukyu fan on this site, but they study how fish feed In Different conditions and they design bait to suit these needs...regardless of whether you decide to use Marukyu baits, these links will give you information that might apply to any bait. http://fishingbaits.biz/news/choosing-the-right-groundbait/ If you have a flick through the fishing guides section, there is some other useful information on baits to use at different times of year (I found it useful anyway) http://marukyu.co.uk/roy-marlow-blog/ There's a few bits on here on the cold weather use of groundbait
  11. Well, I take my hat off to all of you and applaud what you do. There ought to be a Bailiffs association, like the football league manager association for the work you do. At my local club in Radcliffe Manchester there has been an ongoing feud with people voted on and off the committee and different m,embers back each side. It's a real shame because actually they're all truely good souls who want to help and do many things for other members. Just some small difference of opinions can create a melt down.
  12. Cheers phone.. I have a look across google. I'm sure I'll have some time fishing in the US at some point in my life. In the near future it is likely to be a visit to Disney World etc if I get across as I have a young family. I did however have a bash at sea fishing once off Clear Water beach, Florida, however that would be for another forum.
  13. Phone, it's in the coarse fishing section, because it refers to coarse bait. I am a Marukyu fan as I've had more success with their bait this summer than at any time over the rest of my 25 years of fishing. I put this down to the fact I've spent the time to understand the bait and how to use it. I have caught Bream. tench and loads more Carp of than ever before. That doesn't mean I am suggesting it is catch all bait. With regard to carp and different types of bait, there are many more articles across the site which I found an I interesting read this article for example actually agrees with some of what you are saying. http://fishingbaits.biz/news/what-boilie-f...t-time-of-year/ There is loads of stuff on Marukyu across the web, including on this forum. I have seen loads of debates on the stuff and I thought the site gave a balanced view... Where in the US do you fish by the way, and what species do you catch?
  14. For those with a positive or otherwise view on the Marukyu range of baits, a new website has popped up giving information on what to use and how to use their baits. Yes, they sell the stuff on it, but there is a fishing guides section which has most of their videos in it, but with quite a few other articles which are a good read. There is also a bait wizard, which works out an appropriate package, using the science to select the right bait for your conditions, where you input your water depth, season, target species etc. It can come up with a lot of bait when I've used it, but you have the option to remove some of the baits you don't want and you get some advice from one of their Pro Team with the results. I also like the fact they sell Krilled maggots ready made, no messing about having to make them. More importantly I found their first news article, which talks about how the scientific tests are done in the development of the bait a good read. http://fishingbaits.biz is the site. It gives a bit more than the usual blurb.
  15. Recently went on a works corporate fishing doo. Was sat next to someone who had never fished before...every five minutes I was being mithered, can you do this, can you do that. I actually didn't mind until I'd taken my landing net to him to help him land a fish...low and behold I left it with him and only realised when I had a decent carp on... Shouting him to bring it, he asked if he could net it....I obliged and rather than dragging it back across the water he lifted it straight out, snapped the net off the end, leaving him with the pole......the fish was back in the water and racing away.....i had a split second decision to make....land the fish or save the net.....needless to say 10 minutes later I beached a 15lb carp! And then lasted the rest of the day with no landing net.
  16. Outrageous...what is the point of the rod licence...can Anglers Net not file a complaint on behalf of the British users of the site. I do like the US way of being able to send in evidence
  17. Did you actually speak to him about the Marukyu stuff Newt? Would be interesting hear your views after visiting their stand, particularly with the split view on opinion of their bait on this forum.
  18. Thanks guys, yes, I also freeze it.
  19. Does anyone have any recommendation of cooking Hemp in Bulk? I made up 50 pints yesterday, making it in a pressure cooker...the problem is there is only so much you can fit in and the Mrs was going mad with the smell after several hours of it. I have heard there is a boiler you can buy, but don't know where to look.

I was there very early morning, when it was still dark. Made it feel 10 times worse...
  22. My local club will need conga eels to shift the size of some of the crayfish in one of their waters!
  23. Has anyone ever visited one? I visited one today and I have never seen anything like it in my life...I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it is one nasty job. Well done to those who work there. I hope you earn a lot.
