  1. sorry don't know what happend there
  2. I look forward to giving my input to the forum
  3. Try feeding an area with chopped worm mixed in some fishy groundbait, I mix mine with some Squid and Oyster sauce ( Available fro your local Oriental supermarket) then Fis at the edge of the feed area where the Big ones often lurk, Works for me..
  4. My worst angling experience was whilst in uraguay, Montevidao, Fishing for Catfish in the River plate, I had just caught this 4lb Catfish and noticed that it had a big spine in it's dorsal, so the same as we tend to do with Perch, i put my hand over the Dorsal and pushed it down, But anbeknown to me it had spines on it's Gills as i put pressure on my grip it turned its head and impaled this Gill spine right through my Hand, I was in Sickbay in agony for two days, something i will never forget and now i take a moment to check all Foreign fish more closely before i touch them
  5. Like any other Wild animal they are just trying to survive and have been for years, Yes they take fish bue so do mink and even Foxes will given half a chance, The only ones that moan and i mean really moan are the commercial Fishery owners who see their lively hood going down the drain , but if they are so bothered why don't they put up defences against them? Because it costs Money, But good luck to the Otters they were here long before Mr Fishery Owner came along and will be when he's gone, they don't know any different as i said they are only doing what comes natural for them to survive.
  6. Yes i know the feeling when i visited different places the difference in the types of Fishing, Fun learning different methods though, The most enjoyment was the Falklands Fishing for Sea Trout and River Mullet that was really exciting, My friend and i even spent Christmas day 1973 camping on the River Marlow about a couple of miles from Stanley Fishing, truely amazing, I could write a book on my Fishing exploits all over the world, 51 years an angler...
  7. It was near Charlston, I went with a Naval guy, we fished this big lake ,We were up to our chest in water plug fishing with plugs called Hoodlepoppers, least i think that's how you spelt it, Great fun finishe dthe day with a Pizza and a pitcher of Beer or two.
  8. Hi everyone, my name is Alan and i live in Cleethorpes, i'm married with three grown up Daughters, (all taken i'm afraid,) I have been fishing since the age of 7 and i'm 58 now so a few years, I have fished nearly all over the world as i did 24 years in the Royal Navy I have a broad spectrum of Angling but confess not to be an expert but i've tried it all, even fresh water Bass fishing in North Carolina to Fishing for Sea Trout in the Falklands, I look forward to using the site.
