Hi Phil I am from Edinburgh and I use Mikes tackle shop a lot the staff are very knowledgeable and very helpfull I have had some good deals from mikes and when my rod snaped and it was my fault I fell with it in my hand and snapped the tip mike replaced the top section for me so I did not have to pay the cover charge even although I have a life time garentee I have not shopped on there web site as I live close but I dont think you can get better value or service I wish you good luke and tightlines Jim Crawford

Hiif I was fishing in lochness and wanted to use wet flies I would also use fly rod and floating line and if you are in a boat ten foot rod is fine you dont need to be able to cast far but being quiet does help like not banging things about on the bottom of the boat enjoy your fishing and (watch oot fur the monster) I am from scotland
