Hi Mate...ive fished alot in blackpool,i would say that one of the best places to try in off the gynn wall, ive had loads of fish from here,cod small bass,whiting,dogfish,thornback ray,ive even had weaver fish but be carefull how you handle these little bugger's......Also you could try rossal point same species to catch and also a good spot to try....Hope this help's

I have been using a pair of the shakespeare summit freespool reel's for the past two or three years,they are a first class reel, ive had no problem's with them,ive used them for carp as well as pike and they have served me well...

Hi,,ive used both mono and braid for knotless rig's and they both work well..Just make sure whatever you use is strong enough for the fish in the water's you intend to fish...Tight lines..Ste

Dead right chris plenty pike in the baltic, watch matt hayes show with mick brown and they caught load's of them.....

A big no,dont see the point in carrying extra weight of bucket water and the fish.Its just as easy to catch the lives when you get there bylaws permitting. Just a thought i have only ever caught 2 pike on livebaits all my other pike have come to deads or lures...

Hi all just wondering if anyone has fished the river wyre near st micheals preston as im going tomorrow and saturday.Has anyone any ideas the best way to go for the pike and what baits are best to use,any info would be greatfully recieved. Thanks in advance ste

horrible things throw em away,a piece of equipment that is not neccessary,ive never used one in 40 years,if you handle the pike properly it will open up for you no problem..

Trust me i suggest you get the full sim. Its the best 20 quid i spent .This is the best sim ever made for the pc, plus you can download loads of extras from the internet..Go on get it you will not regret it,its the next best thing to being on the bank. .Plus you get to catch fish you would not normally get to fish for..

Hi all..to avoid a CATastrophy i need some info regarding siluris 1 and 2...Has anyone on the forum managed to catch the catfish from these two waters and if so what time of day and what bait did you use...I have tried night and day fishing useing catbites or deadbait with catmagnet groundbait but not managed to get a run :confused: any suggestions would be greatfully welcome.Thanks for your time guys..ste

Hi dude no dates as such but tackle wise try... 12ft carp rod carp reel 50lb main line 30lb hook line size 6 hook bait use cat bites groundbait use catmagnet. i have had catfish with this setup it should work for you... happy fishing.........ste

No tip's for shark venue ,not caught any there myself yet....As for arisaig i have had fish here.My tactics where these... 12ft beachcaster ,sea reel loaded with 60lb line,hook line 20 lb,,2o hook,the best baits i have found for this venue are sandeel,,black lug,,crab,, then cast as far as you can then slowly reel in till you are about 216 ft of line is out...happy fishing..ste

I am going to fish the river wyre this coming week and would like some info if anyone has fished this water for the pike,what would be the best way to tackle this water and the best bait to use.The stretch of the river i will be fishing is near garstang....any help would be welcome...
