  1. Hi From Hollingworth Lake Intros are always a pain.. I live near Holligworth Lake and have fished it for many years. It just seems to get better and better with the quality and size of the fish it produces with most that I catch looking like they have never seen a hook. Which is probably true as the lake is very under fished. The best method in my opinion is ground bait feeder with a few red maggots and the same on the hook. worm can also be very good and will bring bites most species. Usually you have to get four or five casts with the feeder at about 60yds until the fish start to respond. In the last month I have had several good sessions with good Roach and bream. If you would like any advice on the fishery please message me Tight Lines
  2. Hi Everybody Re Hollingwoth Lake parking is 80p at the pay and display near the visitor centre ans is located a few minutes by foot from the bank. Fish in the lake include Roach, Bream,Perch, Carp, Tench, Pike and other bits and pieces. The fishing can be very good especially on warm non windy days. The best method seems to be open end swim feeder with red maggot & or worm on the hook. This usually provides some quality Roach and bream the best I personally have had is about 4lb. Pike can be a nuisance when you have built a swim so worth a spin for these if your peg suddenly dies. There are some very large Pike in the water many stories abound. If you want any further info or advice message me. Tight Lines
