I saw on the news today that 98% of the fuel NK uses is supplied by China............. I can't believe that "the kid" is willing to upset the Chinese for fear of most of his country having no power, heating or fuel.

Regarding rent payments: My local council pay for the rent you should pay on a flat with a correct number of bedrooms. So if you ar an elderly couple with no kids at home you get the equivalent of what you would pay for a one bedroom flat. So, if you have a 2 bed flat you pay the difference between approximately £90 and whatever you pay for a 2 bedroom flat. Ususally around £70:00 per month extra....

In a way, we do. Since I gave up the car, lugging tackle for two has become a bind and now I am slimming down, with a view to multi tasking the tackle....

In fact it seems we need a different rod and reel for practically every style of fishing and every species we fish for. I can appreciate some species need a more specialist rod, but mostly I fish with a minimum of kit. I have a match rod for canals and my 501. I have a carbon match for slightly heavier work and one carp rod with bait runner. So mostly I am fishing with one rod all the time. This probably sounds silly, but cost and weight now have to be kept to a minimum. Any body else feel the same?

Last season I bought an Attura 12' match carp rod, Up to 6lb line rating. It's light enough for float fishing and man enough for larger fish too.
