  1. Nice little Chub there! I had a go yesterday as well, first session for 2014 on a fast flowing river Wensum. Managed 2 Chub and a new PB of 4lb 12oz! and a second of 3lb.
  2. From Midnight Sunday I managed 6 chub. 4lb8 3lb14 3lb10 2lb 2lb2 1lb8 Not a bad start to River Season at all
  3. I caught this one from Horstead Mill in Norfolk a few weeks ago, unfortunately my scales are rubbish (I have new digi ones now) and it didnt weight it properly but it was easily getting on for a 1lb. Was bigger than all the roach I caught that day!! Still my best Speci fish Ive caught this season.
  4. Nice blog, And well done for removing the litter left behind by other Anglers. Always a shame to see things like that, doesnt do the image of angling any good! Matt
  5. I thought it was pretty good apart from the voice sound. Surely that could be tarted up a bit but great vid none the less! Well done. Matt
  6. I guess everyones would be some form of rod tip then! My first electronic one I had was bought just last year, a cheap Ron Thompson bite alarm for a mere £6 Caught loads with it. Who says you need to spend a fortune on a bit alarm? Its even fully waterproof and has proven that many times over! Matt
  7. Hello, Has anyone ever fished Giannas Lake at cobbleacre? If so what has been caught from there? I read on their site it has some nice carp, tench and perch in there but ive always fished on one of the other lakes. Seems to have lots of nice features on it, more so than the other lakes I think so it looks like it could be a good lake to try. Just wondering if anyone had any advice for me or information about it? Thanks Matt
  8. I have started using antibacterial hand wash when I go fishing. Especially when I start making lunch! Matt
  9. Thanks for all the advice, Although I wont be aiming for chub they would be a bonus fish. Was hoping for a roach/dace session and even the odd perch. Ive been told that there are bream on the other side of the mill pond so if they are there that would also be a bonus. Thanks matt
  10. Hello, Im Matt im new to these forums. Although ive been fishing for some time ive not joined a fishing forum before. Im from Norwich and and a bit of an all rounder. Usually just fishing whatever takes my fancy on the day! Hope to get a bit of insight around here on different tactics and venues as well as information on various places to fish in Norfolk. So my first question, has anyone fished recently at Horstead Mill near Coltishall in Norfolk? If so, what did you have out of there? When roughly did you go and weather conditions? Its supposed to be a bit chilly this weekend when I go but ill be aiming for Roach mainly so hopefully wont do too bad! Thanks for any info! Matt
