I'm a Sheffield lad and have been fishing for about 15 years now on and off. Any suggestions on the local fishing scene around Yorkshire and more specifically Sheffield would be greatly appreciated. Hi all, I only have around a years worth of fly fishng under my belt so I'm still definitely in the novice category! I spent last year fishing a few stretches of the River Don with some success (a fair few trout, couple of grayling / chub) but I'd like to stretch out a touch this next year to find some more local spots along Sheffield's rivers. Any suggestions on good locations? Any advice in terms of tactics / times to fish / flies etc would be very welcome as well. Thanks in advance everyone Ryan

Hi all, I'm new to the site and I'd still regard myself as a relative novice on the fishing front. Just after a few tips when it comes to canal fishing in the winter (around this time). Suitable baits, depths, times of day etc. Any advice would be great, just starting to get cabin fever and I need to get back out there! thanks in advance Ryan
