The only solar powered fountain I’ve ever seen is a floating plastic job about 10 inches square with 2 solar panels. On an absolutely crystal clear day (the slightest, thinnest hint of cloud greatly impairs performance) the fountain rises to a majestic height of 6 or 7 inches and falls (gracefully?) onto the top of the unit with the horrible sound water on plastic. The water from the fountain never, ever touches the pond, except after rolling off the solar unit. Totally useless.

Hi Scott; I'm not far from you at Sileby. Although I've fished on and off for many years my trips to the water have always been very few and far between; hence the novice title. I have fished near Cotes Mill on one occasion but when I go to the river it is usually to the Cossington Mill area. I'm a usless angler but I enjoy it. By the way, I like your web site.
