Yes you are correct have read somewhere else on the story. Just a thought as the eel has a treble in its back. And TBH it does look a bit old now looking at the photo. But how can you tell its been partially digested on that photo? out of interest.

Poor anguila! This is no way mick browns fault, but the eel does look like it might of been foul hooked and then the pike has taken an oppotunist snap at it! Who knows thats the mystery of angling.
