I finally decided to register, having found a local pond and read some reports on here. My local is a little lake. Pottery pond Strensall York. My name is Johnny and I am impressed with the pond. Many hours will be spent there this summer.

I have just enjoyed an 18hour session at this North Yorkshire stillwater. Total catch 7 bream to 10lb a 6lb tench and an 18lb 6oz common on 10mm Nash B2 boilies. I have fished this lake numerous times...never blanked. I usually just float and feeder fish, bream and roach aplenty. I do not call myself a carper by any stretch of the imagination but was very pleased with my results today. My Pb here are roach 2lb2oz bream 10lb give or take a wobble on scales needle, pike 12lb7oz though I have seen 24lb'ers on the bank and the above common my Pb tench just topped 7lb. Overall impression of lake .....a toughish lake with surprising results. I have read varying reports of this lake, though in my experience it makes for a good days fishing, and the fish are in good condition as is the venue.
