Hello ellow anglers . I was hopeing that you could help me I need to know how to make a visual bite alarm as i have had mine pinched by some low life scum bag but enough of that . I have no spare cash to buy more at the moment and I am going fishing sunday with whats left of my fishing gear. Any help gratefully recieved :mad: :mad: :mad:

At one of my local waters which has a baillif that controls the day tickets , ~Is going around and telling any body that is catching Pike to through them in the hedge to die , now this lake is a disused resivoir and it is full of good fish carp to 29lb ,perch, roach, tench, pike,and it is a fair size water which obviously need the predators to keep a natural balance of fish.The problem is also that alot of young anglers take him for his word as he is the man in authority so they think it is the right thing to do . Basically I wish to know from you guys and gals what should be done about this man and who or what should I tell to get rid of him .Or am i jumping the gun by thiking that a Kull should be done by the owners of the resivoir in a professional manner not by chucking the pike in the hedge to rot . :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Sorry Peter I disagree I think that Orfe and Ide should all be seperate as is Lee jacksons 61lb 7oz capture of Two Tonne at Conningbrook and Liam Moores disputed Crucian Record Of 5lb 1oz , This record is in dispute because of breeding if it happens to be a hybrid he looses but if not his name is in the record books , So with this point in mind I think it should be the same for the Orfe and Ide that way it also makes it more interesting for us anglers as it gives us more records to aim for .

Defrost and use yes but for that little edge I usually cover some say half in a powder till used ie : Turmeric , Curry powder etc

Has any one got any tips that might help me catch a few Golden Orfe on a Small water that is over fished by holiday makers well maybe not over fished but over free baited . :cool:

I have recently acquired a American product called the Flying lure which does seem to be a good product with a new way of working in the water , but basically I would like to now what succes you good people have had with it if any , On English waters preferably but any help appreciated.

I have recently found an old recipe for a groundbait mix which contains dried blood could any one shed any light on were i might be able to get this ingredient from or has any one used it for groundbait mixes before and does it work. Any suggestions greatfully recieved.

I tend to find that if you stand spool of line on the floor directly under the last eye of your rod do not let the spool roll all over the floor and dont keep the tension on the line to tight as it goes on the reel . but as to which line is best i think that is down to personal prefrence and to what situation you are fishing and for what species .
